摘要： The present invention uniformly cools a roll body and/or an induction heating mechanism by gas without complicating the configuration around the roll body. An induction heated roll apparatus includes a roll body having a hollow part, an induction heating mechanism disposed in the hollow part to subject the roll body to induction heating, and a cooling mechanism to cool the roll body and/or the induction heating mechanism by generating a gas flow in a clearance between the roll body and the induction heating mechanism. The cooling mechanism includes a suction port disposed on one axial end side of the roll body that communicates with the clearance, an exhaust port disposed on an opposite axial end side of the roll body that communicates with the clearance, and a suction mechanism coupled to the exhaust port that sucks the gas in the clearance from the exhaust port.

摘要： For heating a mold efficiently and uniformly and for protecting an induction coil from corrosive gases, an upper plate that contacts an upper end face of a mold, and a lower plate that contacts a lower end face of the mold are provided, and an induction coil, provided to each plate, has a voltage applied by a commercial power supply. Each plate has a metal plate body in which a recessed housing portion that houses the induction coil is formed, and a cover that closes the recessed housing portion in a state where the induction coil is housed therein. A cover placement portion having a step that is greater than or equal to the thickness of the metal cover is formed in the metal plate body, and a plurality of jacket chambers in which a gas-liquid two phase heating medium is enclosed are formed in the metal plate body.

Also, one of a winding start point and a winding end point of the first induction coil is electrically connected to one phase of the three-phase AC power source, and the other one is electrically connected to a midpoint of the second induction coil. Further, the winding start point and the winding end point of the second induction coil are electrically connected to the remaining two phases of the three-phase AC power source.

The apparatus calculates the temperature of the roll main body using an AC current value obtained by an AC current detecting part, an AC voltage value obtained by an AC voltage detecting part, a power factor obtained by a power factor detecting part, a winding resistance value of the winding, and an excitation resistance obtained from characteristics of a relationship between a magnetic flux density and an excitation resistance of a magnetic circuit including the iron core and the roll main body as parameters.
