In some embodiments, the light-control element includes a liquid crystal material at least partially filling the cavities. In certain preferred embodiments, each of the surface layer and the base layer include one or more electrodes adapted for application of an electrical potential to the liquid crystal material. The disclosure also provides methods of manufacturing and using light control window glazings including light-control elements containing liquid crystal materials for efficient thermal management of interior spaces of vehicles and buildings.

摘要： A glazing agent for food characterized by comprising a solution prepared by dissolving a lipid in a 5 to 20 w/w % solution of a film-forming component in ethanol and/or isopropanol at a concentration of 5 to 20 w/w % based on the solid matter of the film-forming component, the lipid being liquid at ordinary temperatures and soluble in the above alcoholic solvent. The concentration of the lipid in the above solution of a film-forming component is 10 to 15 w/w % based on the solid matter of the film-forming component when the film-forming component is zein, or is 10 to 20 w/w % when the component is shellac. The lipid is a liquid fatty acid and/or a fatty acid ester of polyglycerol. The liquid fatty acid is oleic acid, myristic acid, lauric acid and/or a mixed fatty acid derived from an edible vegetable fat or oil. The mixed fatty acid is soybean oil fatty acid and/or rice bran oil fatty acid. The zein is one purified through extraction with alcohol and precipitation of the extract in nearly anhydrous acetone. The food is confectionery including globular, tableted and granulated chocolate. The glazing agent inhibits the adhesion among particles in coating to give a glossy coating, thus being excellent in workability.

摘要： A photoelectric conversion device provided with a photoelectric conversion layer between a first electrode and a second electrode is formed. The first electrode is partially in contact with the photoelectric conversion layer, and a cross-sectional shape of the first electrode in the contact portion is a taper shape. In this case, part of a first semiconductor layer with one conductivity type is in contact with the first electrode. A planer shape in an edge portion of the first electrode is preferably nonangular, that is, a shape in which edges are planed or a curved shape. By such a structure, concentration of an electric field and concentration of a stress can be suppressed, whereby characteristic deterioration of the photoelectric conversion device can be reduced.

摘要： The present invention provides a photoelectric conversion device capable of detecting light from weak light to strong light and relates to a photoelectric conversion device having a photodiode having a photoelectric conversion layer; an amplifier circuit including a transistor; and a switch, where the photodiode and the amplifier circuit are electrically connected to each other by the switch when intensity of entering light is lower than predetermined intensity so that a photoelectric current is amplified by the amplifier circuit to be outputted, and the photodiode and part or all of the amplifier circuits are electrically disconnected by the switch so that a photoelectric current is reduced in an amplification factor to be outputted. According to such a photoelectric conversion device, light from weak light to strong light can be detected.

摘要： An object is to provide a photoelectric conversion element having a side surface with different taper angles by conducting etching of a photoelectric conversion layer step-by-step. A pin photodiode has a high response speed compared with a pn photodiode but has a disadvantage of large dark current. One cause of the dark current is considered to be conduction through an etching residue which is generated in etching and deposited on a side surface of the photoelectric conversion layer. Leakage current of the photoelectric conversion element is reduced by forming a structure in which a side surface has two different tapered shapes, which conventionally has a uniform surface, so that the photoelectric conversion layer has a side surface of a p-layer and a side surface of an n-layer, which are not in the same plane.
