摘要： The present invention relates to a medical device, in particular an eye mask, for treating, preventing or ameliorating an eye condition, the device comprising a cover 3 arranged to contact a subject's eye and/or a surrounding area thereof and which is at least partially filled with a temperature control means 40 for modulating the temperature of the cover 3. The cover 3 may additionally comprises an antimicrobial agent. Alternatively a disposable barrier (102, Fig 5) may be provided, the disposable barrier being attachable to the cover and preventing it from coming into contact with the patients eye. One of the sides of the cover 3 may additionally, or alternatively, be provided with a phase change material (PCM). In a preferred embodiment the temperature control means 40, possibly a silica gel or grain material, are provided in a pouch 38 which is removable from within the cover 3. Claims are also provided directed to a kit comprising the device and an antimicrobial solution for application to the cover of the device, and also to methods of preparing and manufacturing the device.
