    • Disclosed is a security monitoring method determining whether a trespasser is detected and a position of the trespasser in a set security space and monitoring sound generated at the position of the trespasser by using an acoustic image generated from acoustic signals generated by an acoustic generating device and an acoustic measuring device in an array type. An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a security monitoring system including: an acoustic generating device that generates acoustic signals; a plurality of acoustic measuring devices that receive the acoustic signals; and an acoustic image processing device that generates an acoustic image using a beamforming algorithm from the acoustic signals received in the plurality of acoustic measuring devices and determines a position of a trespasser by comparing the acoustic image after the trespasser is detected with the acoustic image before the trespasser is detected.

    • A micromini condenser microphone having a flexure hinge-shaped upper diaphragm and a back plate, and a method of manufacturing the same are provided.The method includes the steps of: forming a lower silicon layer and a first insulating layer; forming an upper silicon layer to be used as a back plate on the first insulating layer; forming a plurality of sound holes by patterning the upper silicon layer; forming a second insulating layer on the upper silicon layer; forming a conductive layer on the upper silicon layer having the sound holes, and forming a passivation layer on the conductive layer; forming a sacrificial layer on the passivation layer; depositing a diaphragm on the sacrificial layer, and forming a plurality of air holes passing through the diaphragm; forming electrode pads on the passivation layer and a region of the diaphragm; and etching the sacrificial layer, the passivation layer, the conductive layer, the upper silicon layer, the first insulating layer and the lower silicon layer to form an air gap between the diaphragm and the upper silicon layer.Consequently, due to the flexible diaphragm, a manufacturing process using semiconductor MEMS technology may improve the sensitivity of the condenser microphone and reduce the size of the condenser microphone, thereby enabling integration into a portable terminal.

    • Provided is a small form factor optical/magnetic disk including an integrated metal hub and a disk plate. The integrated metal hub includes a circular upper metal hub and a circular lower metal hub integrally formed with and disposed under the upper metal hub. The circular lower metal hub has a smaller diameter smaller than the upper metal hub. A central hole is formed in central portions of the upper and lower metal hubs and passes through the upper and lower metal hubs. The disk plate has a through-hole that is formed in a central portion and is directly associated with the integrated metal hub, and a recess that is formed around the through-hole and allows the upper metal hub to be mounted therein. Since the central portion of the small form factor optical/magnetic disk is not thick, the small form factor optical/magnetic disk can contribute to an ultra thin small form factor information storage device. Also, since manufacturing processes are simple, price and quality competitiveness can be enhanced.

    • Provided is an optical fiber illuminator used for recording and reading high density optical information according to a near field recording (NFR) scheme, a method of fabricating the optical fiber illuminator, and an optical recording head and recording apparatus having the optical fiber illuminator. The optical fiber illuminator includes: an optical fiber having a core upon which light is incident and a clad that surrounds the core, one end of the optical fiber having a mirror formed in an inclined manner; and a lens formed on an outer surface of the optical fiber for focusing light reflected by the mirror. The optical fiber illuminator has an improved optical arrangement for optical illumination and detection, it is easy to manufacture, its optical input is easy to control, and it can be readily provided in an array form.
