    • The present invention relates to a method to supply power to an LED array, comprising at least two LED branches connected in parallel, in each of which at least one LED is arranged. The LED array is supplied with predetermined power from a current source connected in series, wherein currents are measured in the LED branches, wherein the measured currents are compared in control electronics, and wherein the currents are controlled in a part of the LED branches such that they have a defined ratio with respect to one another in the LED branches. The method is intended to be improved such that it can be carried out economically and with simple means. This is achieved in that one of the LED branches is selected to be the master whose current is utilized as the target specification for the remaining LED branches.The invention further relates to a circuit arrangement for implementing the method according to the invention as well as a lighting unit with such type of circuit arrangement.

Each cutter has at least one corner defined by an intersection between two contiguous side faces of the body of the cutter. The cutters are mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the rotor such that the first direction of each cutter is substantially tangent to the outer peripheral surface, and such that the corners of the cutters mesh with respective V-shaped grooves in the counter-knife as the rotor rotates about its axis. The multiple points of each cutter encounter and mesh with the groove in the counter-knife in a sequential fashion.

    • The present disclosure provides a method that efficiently produces (6R)-tetrahydrobiopterin in high yield and purity. The method includes the step of hydrolyzing diacetylbiopterin to biopterin under basic conditions in a biphasic mixture comprising an organic phase and an aqueous phase. After substantially complete hydrolysis of diacetylbiopterin, the aqueous phase containing biopterin can be separated from the organic phase containing most of the organic impurities, which avoids the time-consuming step of isolating biopterin as a solid. The aqueous solution containing biopterin is stereoselectively hydrogenated to (6R)-tetrahydrobiopterin under basic conditions and high hydrogen pressure in the presence of a metal catalyst (e.g., a platinum catalyst). To improve the purification of an acid addition salt of (6R)-tetrahydrobiopterin (e.g., (6R)-tetrahydrobiopterin dihydrochloride), any residual salts (e.g., sodium salts) in the aqueous solution after the hydrogenation reaction can be removed by contacting the aqueous solution with an ion (e.g., cation) exchange resin or column. Alternatively, removal of residual salts from the aqueous solution can be omitted if an organic amine (e.g., diethylamine or triethylamine) rather than an inorganic base is used in the hydrolysis and/or hydrogenation reactions.

    • The method of the invention is based on an optimum combination of multi-carrier modulation with the spread-spectrum technique. The data of a subscriber station are spread, with the data of a subscriber station being modulated on a set of orthogonal spread sequences and superimposed. The data of a subscriber station are transmitted to a partial quantity of subcarriers in the frequency band, with the partial quantity of sub-carriers associated with the individual subscriber stations being disjunct and distributed over the entire transmission band. A channel estimation required for receiving-side data detection is performed by means of filtering in the time and/or frequency direction of reference symbols. A low-complexity maximum-likelihood sequence estimation is possible for data detection. The method of the invention is well-suited for use for both the upstream and downlinks in future cellular mobile-radio systems.
