    • The present invention provides a neutral point voltage adjuster of a torque sensor which comprises: a pair of coils having inductances changing mutually in a reverse direction in accordance with a torque; and a differential amplifier means inputting first and second sub-voltages based on each inductance change of both coils, and amplifying a difference between the first and second sub-voltages so as to output it as a main voltage, and which uses a neutral point where no torque is inputted as a boundary between right and left directions, and detects each torsional torque in the right and left direction, comprising: a neutral point voltage setter for displacing a main voltage of an output from the differential amplifier on the basis of an adjusting signal so as to set a neutral point voltage; a memory for storing a neutral point voltage setting state by the neutral point voltage setter; and a neutral point voltage adjuster for storing a neutral point voltage used as a reference of a main voltage, and inputting the main voltage, and further, outputting the adjusting signal to the neutral point voltage setter so that a difference between the neutral paint voltage read from the main voltage and the reference neutral point voltage is reduced.

    • A steering system for a boat propelling apparatus is disclosed, which includes an operation unit, a steering piston-and-cylinder assembly and an operating fluid switching unit. The operation unit causes a steering arm of a propelling unit to be operated with operation of a steering wheel installed in the boat. The steering piston-and-cylinder assembly is connected to an operating fluid supply pump and a drain tank and capable of being supplied with operating fluid. Its piston rod is coupled to the steering arm. The operating fluid switching unit is disposed between the steering piston-and-cylinder assembly on one hand and the operating fluid supply pump and the drain tank on the other hand, and it switches the flow of operating fluid with the operation of the operation unit. It includes a switching section having a poppet valve coupled to the operation unit. The operating fluid switching unit includes a switching section and a normally closed drain control section. The switching section switches the flow of operating fluid directed form the operating fluid supply pump to the steering piston-and-cylinder assembly. The drain control section controls the flow of operating fluid directed from the operating fluid supply pump to the drain tank, and after the lapse of a predetermined period of time from the instant of start of the operating fluid supply pump it is closed, whereby operating fluid is led to the switching section only. The operating fluid supply pump is operative at all times, and it leads operating fluid through the drain control section to the drain tank in the inoperative state of the operation unit while leading operating fluid through the switching section to the steering piston-and-cylinder assembly in the operative state of the operation unit.

A temperature sensor for detecting the environmental temperature of the electric motor is provided, a correction coefficient computing circuit for reading the output correction coefficient corresponding to the temperature detected by the temperature sensor from the correction coefficient memory is provided, and a current control computing means for calculating a corrected current control signal by multiplying the current control signal of the electric motor computed on the basis of a steered condition of a vehicle by the output correction coefficient read from the correction coefficient computing circuit is provided.
