摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for observing the interior of a hot furnace. The apparatus is equipped with a camera arranged in a case whose inner surface is cooled by means of cooling water and into whose inner space cooling air is blown, the apparatus comprising: a quartz-glass plate, a heat-ray-reflecting-glass plate, a heat-ray-absorbing-glass plate, and a heat-ray-transmitting mirror arranged in order of decreasing distance to the camera in an optical path through which a ray of light entering at the front surface of the case is led to the camera; and an illuminating lamp which is provided on the front surface of the case and whose luminance can be remote-controlled. With this construction, the temperature in the camera case can be kept at 50.degree. C. or less, and damage to the camera due to the radiation heat entering through the glass window can be avoided. With this apparatus, the interior of a hot furnace can be observed over a temperature range of room temperature to 1200.degree. C. while remote-controlling the luminance of the illuminating lamp.

摘要： A low cement refractory gun mix is disclosed. The gun mix comprises a coarse refractory portion having a particle diameter of at least 74 microns and a fine powder portion having a particle diameter of at most 74 microns. The gun mix is prepared by forming the fine powder portion into a slurry and deflocculating it prior to mixing it with the coarse refractory portion rather than deflocculating it when it is introduced into a spray gun. The gun mix has an extremely low cement and water content. Accordingly, a sprayed deposit of high packing density can be obtained which is equal in quality with deposits produced by vibration molding or casting. The gun mix is appropriate for use in forming the entire work lining of containers for molten metal.

摘要： An apparatus for mixing and pumping slurry which is mixed with a refractory aggregate material in a gunning nozzle, characterized in that the apparatus is provided at its upper portion with a slurry mixing apparatus and its lower portion with a pumping apparatus which feeds the slurry under pressure by pump. The mixing apparatus includes an opening at the bottom thereof for the downward discharge of the slurry from the mixing apparatus. The pumping apparatus includes an opening at the top thereof positioned directly below the discharge opening of the mixing apparatus for delivering the slurry to the pump, thereby allowing the regulation and pumping of the slurry to be carried out simultaneously. The slurry is pumped to a gunning nozzle for admixture in a predetermined ratio with refractory aggregate.
