    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a carriage to move freely in a start base (a shaft) and a work place (a working face) and to travel a long distance between the start base and the work place.SOLUTION: A transport vehicle for construction comprises a tow car 1, one or more carriages 2 for material transportation, and a coupler 3 for connecting the tow car 1 and the carriage 2. The tow car 1 has at least a power generator 11 with an engine as a power source and a self-traveling motor 12 that operates by the electric power supplied from the power generator 11. The carriage 2 has at least a battery 21 that is charged by the electric power supplied from the power generator 11 of the tow car 1 and a self-traveling motor 22 that operates by the electric power supplied from at least one of the power generator 11 and the battery 21. The coupler 3 separably connects the tow car 1 to the carriage 2 and also separably connects a power line in the power generator 11 side of the tow car 1 to a power line in the battery 21 and the motor 22 sides of the carriage 2.
