    • A foil transfer apparatus includes: a transport cylinder supporting a paper sheet on its outer circumferential surface; and a press roller opposing the transport cylinder and having a notch portion formed in its outer circumferential surface, wherein the paper sheet and a web-like transfer foil made by attaching foil on a base film travel through the nip between the transport cylinder and the press roller, thereby transferring the foil of the transfer foil onto the paper sheet. The foil transfer apparatus also includes a discharging guide disposed near a nip portion between the transport cylinder and the press roller, on the downstream side of the traveling direction of the transfer foil, at the press-roller side, in order to guide the transfer foil so that the transfer foil can travel closer to the press-roller side than a tangent line passing through the nip portion.

    • Provided is a pair of plates for a rotary processing machine having the following configuration and a method of mounting the same by which the pair of plates can be mounted on the respective outer circumferential surfaces of a pair of cylinders with high precision. When a female recessed plate and a male raised plate are overlapped with each other so as to make processing portions of the female plate correspond to those of the male plate, fitting protrusions are fitted into respective fitting portions. Accordingly, the movement of the fitting protrusions is restricted both in the width direction of the plates and in the mount direction of the plates. Concurrently, guiding protrusions are respectively inserted between corresponding pairs of guide protrusions in the guiding portions. Accordingly, the guiding protrusions are guided so that relative movement of the guiding protrusions is allowed only in the mount direction.

    • A rotary die cutter including a die plate including a blade which die cuts a material, die cylinder, opposed cylinder, air blowing device, receiving device, and guide device. The die cylinder mounts the die plate on its circumferential surface and is supported rotatably. The opposed cylinder is opposed to the die cylinder and supported rotatably. The die cylinder cuts the material using the die plate at the position at which the die cylinder is opposed to the opposed cylinder. The air blowing device blows air onto the circumferential surface of the die cylinder in the tangential direction to the die cylinder from the downstream side to the upstream side in the direction in which the die cylinder rotates. The receiving device receives the cut piece peeled from the die plate by the air blown from the air blowing device. The guide device guides the cut piece to the receiving device.
