    • An electric shaver includes a rod-shaped body part, a head part, and a link mechanism. The head part projects from one end portion, in a longitudinal direction, of the body part and is swingably attached to the body part with a support base between the body part and the head part. The head part includes a shaving portion and a drive mechanism. The shaving portion is formed to be elongated in a direction orthogonal to a projecting direction of the head part and has paired blades configured to operate relative to each other. The drive mechanism is configured to drive at least one of the paired blades. The link mechanism includes two link arms each connected to the support base and the head part respectively at connecting axes parallel to a longitudinal direction of the shaving portion. The link mechanism is configured to support the head part on the support base swingably. The two link arms are disposed asymmetrically with respect to a straight line passing on a center of gravity of the head part and extending parallel with the projecting direction of the head part, when viewed in the longitudinal direction of the shaving portion.

    • A dry shaver with a skin stretcher comprises a shaver body and a shaving head mounted on top of the shaver body. The shaving head comprises at least one cutter unit with a perforated outer cutter. An inner cutter is driven to move in hair shearing engagement with the outer cutter. The skin stretcher comprises a skin contact elongated along the periphery of the outer cutter and a base through which the skin contact is held on the shaving head. A macro displacement structure is provided to allow the skin contact to be movable within a macro displacement range relative to the shaver body. The skin contact is made from an elastic material capable of being elastically deformed within a micro displacement range relative to the base. With the combination of the macro and micro displacements of the skin contact, the skin contact can be kept in contact with the skin of a user in conformity with various contours of the skin. Thus, the skin stretcher can stretch a large portion of the skin even with an uneven skin surface, i.e., around the chin or the like to raise the hairs over a wide area prior to the shaving by the cutter unit, thereby assuring smooth and effective hair shaving at the cutter unit.

    • An electric shaver (11) is provided with a grip section (12) and a head (13) which is provided at the upper end of the grip section (12). Five outer blades (20) into which body hair can be introduced are provided at the upper end of the head (13) and arranged side by side in the front-rear direction (X) of the head (13). Each of the outer blades (20) is provided thereinside with an inner blade (30), which can reciprocate in the widthwise direction (Y) of the head (13) and cuts and removes body hair, which is introduced into the outer blade (20), by sandwiching the body hair between the inner blade (30) and the outer blade (20). The outer blades (20) include a slit blade (21) which is located at the center of the outer blades (20) in the front-rear direction (X), and net blades (22-25), a pair of which is provided at each side of the head (13) in the front-rear direction (X) of the head (13) and centered about the slit blade (21). The net blades (22-25) are symmetrical about the slit blade (21) in the front-rear direction (X) of the head (13).
