    • An exemplary illumination apparatus for use in a projection system includes a number of solid-state light sources and first non-imaging collection optics, a power coupler, an optical amplifier, and a second non-imaging collection optic. The solid-state light sources are configured to generate light of a predetermined wavelength. Each first non-imaging collection optic is configured to collect and transmit light from a respective solid-state light source to the power coupler. The power coupler is configured to combine light from the solid-state light sources. The optical amplifier is configured to amplify the combined light. The second non-imaging collection optic is configured to collect the amplified light to provide illumination.

    • A projector includes a light source for emitting light, a color wheel for filtering the light emitted from the light source, a converging module for converging the filtered light, a light-modulating device for modulating the light emitted from the light source, a lens module for projecting the light modulated by the light-modulating device; and a contrast-adjusting device. The contrast-adjusting device is positioned in a light path associated with the light source. The contrast-adjusting device includes a liquid crystal panel and a driving element. The liquid crystal panel is inserted into the light path associated with light source inside the lens module, and is driven by the driving element to tilt relative to light incident thereon from the light source so that contrast of the light output from the liquid crystal panel changes.

    • A moving device is provided. A first receiving device receives an emitted light from a base station and obtains a direction from a start position, which the moving device is in to the base station according to the emitted light to serve as a target direction. A driving device drives the moving device to move in the target direction from the start position. When the moving device meets a first obstacle which is disposed along the target direction and in the target area, a second receiving device obtains a distance between the moving device and the base station according to the received emitted light to serve as a middle distance. When a determination device determines that the middle distance is not equal to a predetermined distance, the driving device drives the moving device to detour around the first obstacle and move in the target direction continuously.

    • A moving device is provided. A first receiving device receives an emitted light from a base station and obtains a direction from a start position, which the moving device is in to the base station according to the emitted light to serve as a target direction.
