    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method and a joining device, which make rubber sheets with uniform thickness and quality butt-joined together, while preventing the swell of joints at both ends of the rubber sheet. SOLUTION: The joining device comprises a molding drum 17, the diameter of which can be enlarged/reduced, and a movable member 52 which can advance/retreat in the radial direction of the molding drum with respect to the molding drum. In the molding drum, first and second holding parts 45b and 46b for holding both the ends of the rubber sheet 15, respectively, are each provided movably in the radial direction of the molding drum. In the movable member 52, first and second pressing parts 57b and 58b for pressing both the ends of the rubber sheet against the first and second holding parts, respectively, are provided in such a manner as to be relatively movable in the tangential direction of the molding drum. Intermeshing parts 45a and 46a meshing with each other in such a manner as to be capable of overlapping each other are formed in the first and second holding parts, respectively, and intermeshing parts 57a and 58a meshing with each other in such a manner as to be capable of overlapping each other are formed in the first and second pressing parts, respectively. A synchronous movement means, which relatively moves the first and second pressing parts in the tangential direction of the molding drum in synchronization with the relative movement of the first and second holding parts in the tangential direction of the molding drum, is provided.     • At least one belt layer in which one or plural rubber-coated belt codes are arranged to be spirally wound almost in parallel with a tire circumferential direction on the outer circumference of a body ply. The belt code is small in the increase rate of tensile load to stretch rate in the range of a predetermined stretch rate or less, but becomes large in the increase rate of the tensile load in another range exceeding the predetermined stretch rate. Therefore, during a vulcanizing and forming process, the belt code is expanded together with unvulcanized compounded rubber under a small tensile load, and it does not occur to prevent body ply codes from being expanded, so that a green tire is vulcanized and formed with respective parts thereof being adhered as a result of being expanded to keep a correct shape.
