摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming a portable liquid oxygen using an oxygen concentrator for patients having respiratory diseases. SOLUTION: The excess capacity gas flow from a gas concentrator (11) is split off and then stored in a storage dewar (14) via liquefaction. The stored gas can be used as a portable supply. A portion of the oxygen gas flow generated by the oxygen concentrator is channeled to a condenser (13). The condenser receives and liquefies the oxygen gas using cryocooler (12). The storage dewar (14) is used for storing the oxygen liquefied by the condenser. A liquid is then selectively transferred to a smaller portable dewar (23). A controller can be used for monitoring the parameters of liquefaction (including oxygen concentration, the amount of liquid oxygen in the dewar), and for controlling the parameters of liquid oxygen generation and transfer. 摘要： A medical ventilator system that allows the use of pulse flow of oxygen to gain higher FIO2 values and/or conserve oxygen is described. In one embodiment, the ventilator system includes an oxygen concentrator, a medical ventilator and a breathing circuit between the ventilator and a patient. In one embodiment, the oxygen concentrator includes a controller module that is configured to generate a trigger signal to initiate the distribution of one or more pulses of oxygen from the oxygen concentrator to the patient circuit at the onset of a ventilator supplied breath. A small flow of oxygen can be added in between pulses to aid in gaining higher FIO2.

摘要： The present invention relates to a rotary valve assembly for a pressure swing adsorption system. The rotary valve assembly includes a first valve member and a second valve member relatively rotatable about a common center of rotation to provide valving action for selectively transferring fluids therethrough. The second valve member has a first fluid section with at least one aperture adapted for transferring a first fluid of a first pressure and composition therethrough and a second fluid section with at least one aperture adapted for transferring a second fluid of a second pressure and composition therethrough. The first valve member has a first fluid section with at least one passage for transferring the first fluid in the valve assembly and a second fluid section with at least one passage for transferring the second fluid in the valve assembly. A vent is located between the first fluid sections and the second fluid sections of the valve assembly and is vented to a pressure lower than the pressures of the first and second fluids so as to vent leakage from either of the sections of the valve assembly. The rotary valve assembly further includes means for effecting relative rotation of the first valve member and second valve member.

The concentrator converts ambient air into concentrated oxygen gas for the user and includes a plurality of adsorption beds and a rotary valve assembly. The rotary valve assembly is relatively rotatable with respect to the plurality of adsorption beds to provide valving action for selectively transferring fluids through the plurality of adsorption beds for converting ambient air into concentrated oxygen gas for the user.
