    • A display apparatus includes a plurality of subpixels having different emission colors in a pixel, and each of the subpixels includes an organic EL device. A high-refractive-index transparent layer having a refractive index higher than that of an organic compound layer of the organic EL device is provided on a light exit side of the organic EL device, and further, a light extraction structure is arranged on an outer circumference of the subpixel on the light exit side of the high-refractive-index transparent layer. A distance between first electrodes of the subpixels closest to each other, which are respectively included in the two adjacent pixels, is set to be larger than that between the first electrodes of the two adjacent subpixels within the pixel.

    • When the degradation of a light-emitting device is detected and the luminance is compensated, because the lowering in current efficiency involved in the degradation varies for each luminance, use of the same compensation coefficient provides a luminance region in which the compensation is insufficient. A light-emitting apparatus includes a light-emitting device; a control unit for changing a display luminance of the light-emitting device depending on an input signal; a degradation detection unit for detecting a degradation amount of the light-emitting device; and a correction unit for correcting the input signal depending on a detected degradation amount, wherein the correction unit corrects the input signal depending on the degradation amount of the light-emitting device and the display luminance determined by the input signal.

    • An organic light emitting device has a light emitting layer and an electron injecting and transporting layer which are sandwiched between a pair of electrodes formed of an anode and a cathode. The electron injection dopant material is doped into an electron transporting material in such a manner that concentration of the dopant becomes low, high, and low in the regions of the electron injecting and transporting layer in the stated order from the light emitting layer side in the film thickness direction. Further, in the region brought into contact with the cathode of the electron injecting and transporting layer, the concentration of the dopant is preferably set high. The organic light emitting device improves drive durability and high light extraction efficiency.
