The grain is fed to the machine throught a chute 15, and is aspirated at 15 by an air-blast from the fan 1. Light impurities are carried off through the trunk 20, while heavier impurities carried by the air-blast over the division board 31 pass through the space 21 between the machine casing and the head end of the sieve 3, and are collected by a brush conveyer 22 and removed by a screw conveyer 24. The sieve 3 is suspended by rods 27, and is reciprocated by the eccentric 17. Large and heavy impurities, such as stones, tail over the end of the sieve 3, and are discharged by openings A. The purified grain passes through the tail end of the sieve, which is of larger mesh than the upper part, and is collected by a plate B, down which it travels to the outlet C. It is again aspirated at 2 by the induced current passing to the fan 1. This air current passes through trunks 2 and 6 into the expansion chamber 4, and thence through a smaller expansion chamber 10 to the fan inlets. A tapping-attachment may be provided for the sieve 3. The chamber 12 is relieved of excess pressure by an outlet 13 controlled by a valve.

摘要： Hydroxyl-containing polymers prepared by reaction of a polymerizable alpha, beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and an epoxy compound containing greater than 5 carbon atoms are disclosed. The polymer is prepared by free radical organic solution polymerization techniques. Synthesis of the polymers by this technique assures multiple hydroxyl functionality in all polymer chains thereby providing good cure response. The polymers are useful as binders in high solids coating compositions. When used with appropriate curing agents, the resultant coatings have good hardness, high gloss and distinctness of image, have good solvent and humidity resistance and are very resistant to acid etching.

摘要： A liquid, hydroxyl functional graft copolymer is prepared by the vinyl addition polymerization, in an inert organic medium, of a vinyl monomer component comprising at least a portion of a carboxyl functional vinyl monomer in the presence of a glycidyl ester containing acrylic polymer, the grafting occuring by the condensation reaction between the carboxyl groups of the vinyl monomer component and the epoxy groups of the glycidyl ester containing acrylic polymer. The graft copolymer is especially useful in formulating clear coating compositions which exhibit excellent sag resistance without the necessity for externally added rheology control agent.

摘要： A method of coating a fiber-reinforced plastic substrate is disclosed. The method comprises the application of a primer coat directly to the fiber-reinforced plastic substrate. The primer is an organic resinous composition comprising a polyepoxide and a polyacid curing agent. A topcoat is then applied to the primer coat. The composite coating using the polyepoxide-polyacid primer provides for coated fiber-reinforced plastic substrates with excellent appearance as well as good chip resistance and adhesion, as well as tolerance to overbaking conditions.

摘要： Cured coatings having a high degree of extensibility, gloss retention, good sprayability and other desirable properties are obtained from compositions comprising (A) an interpolymer of an hydroxyalkyl ester of an ethylenically-unsaturated carboxylic acid and a copolymerizable material; (B) an organic polyisocyanate; (C) a polymeric polyol of low glass transition temperature; and (D) a curing agent, present either externally and/or as a part of the interpolymer. These compositions, when used as coatings, are durable, adherent and highly extensible. The coatings are particularly useful on resilient and rubbery substrates such as EPDM rubber, foam rubber, polyurethane foam and vinyl foam and on soft metal surfaces such as steel and aluminum.

The compositions may be spray coated onto various substrates in two coat applications to form coatings having improved film build, pattern control and flow control while maintaining the gloss characteristics of the film. These coatings are useful in general coating applications and are particularly useful in automotive finishing or refinishing.

摘要： A tire characteristic monitoring method allows automatic programming of tire position information in a remote tire pressure monitoring system (10). The method includes, from a remotely located exciter (16) using a primary coil (18) to transmit a relatively low frequency signal to a secondary coil (L1) of a tire monitor (12) associated with a tire of a vehicle. The method further includes the step of, at the tire monitor, in response to the relatively low frequency signal, transmitting a relatively high transmitting signal to convey data. The data are received at the exciter and subsequently loaded into a receiving unit (14) of the vehicle.
