摘要： An applicator for topically applying a semi-solid medicament comprises an applicator head having an applicator face for spreading medicament across the skin; a sealable aperture on the applicator face; and a drive mechanism for forcing medicament out through the aperture. The applicator head includes a cartridge port at the rear of the applicator face for receiving a dispensing end of a cartridge charged with medicament. The drive mechanism comprises a dial knob rotatable around a longitudinal axis of the applicator for advancing a piston along a drive member towards the applicator head to force medicament from the cartridge and thereby dispense a predetermined dose of medicament onto the applicator face.

摘要： A portable device is provided for coupling acoustic energy into a surface whereby the surface radiates audible sound. The device comprises a body (1) containing an acoustic actuator (6) and means (3) for energising the actuator with an audiofrequency signal, the actuator having a foot (7) for coupling the acoustic energy into the surface, and a suction device (9) for temporarily attaching the device to a surface, the suction device comprising a flexible membrane (11) surrounding the foot, and lifting means (12, 13, 15) to exert a lifting force away from the surface on said membrane, thereby reducing the air pressure beneath said membrane to hold the portable device on the surface.

摘要： A method of and system for buying or selling bras involves establishing a database of bras containing bra characteristic data including bra size and bra cup size measured from a sample of actual bras; measuring a wearer's breast and torso size to obtain wearer characteristic data; searching the database to find bra characteristic data within the database matching the wearer characteristic data; and listing for selection by the wearer any bras in the database whose characteristics match the wearer characteristic data. Apparatuses and methods for measuring breast characteristics and bra characteristics are also disclosed, the former involving application of a receptacle to the breast and the latter involving expansion of bladders within the cups of a bra, the aim in both cases being to establish volumetric data for the purposes of correlation using the database.

摘要： The present invention relates to a beverage bottle having a resealable closure (32). The beverage bottle comprises a mouth. The mouth comprises an outwardly oriented bulge. The closure comprising a cap comprising a disc (16) adapted to cover the opening of the mouth. The cap further comprises a corrugated circumferential skirt (18) which has a plurality of resilient axial slots (20). The closure further comprises a collar (12) comprising an upper section (26), a lower section (30) and an intermediate section (28) which latter defines an inwardly oriented protrusion (32). The sections define an inner space accommodating the cap and allowing the cap to be axially movable. In a closed state of the closure (32) the inwardly oriented protrusion (32) compresses the skirt (18) inwardly for interlocking with the outwardly oriented bulge. In an open state of the closure the inwardly oriented protrusion is located adjacent the disc such that the skirt assumes an uncompressed state.

摘要： A liquid dispenser (7) uses a flexible bag (9) having expansible and collapsible cells (61). A rigid manifold (95), and in one instance a rigid frame (602) is provided in the bag to keep passages open in use and to isolate one of the cells from the remaining cells. The dispenser employs an efficient and quiet air pressure operating system. In one application, a concentrated drink mix may be held in a reservoir and diluted within other cells in the bag for dispensing to a cup or the like. A valve system allows for the particulates in the liquid without compromising the function of the valve.
