摘要： This invention is an absorbent article comprising a main body (1) having a waist hole (3) and a pair of leg holes (4), an elastic waist portion (5) disposed along the waist hole (3), and a leg gather (6) disposed along each of the leg holes (4). The main body comprises a front section (1A) and a rear section (1B) joined to each other in a crotch region (2b) and side regions (2a) of the main body (1). The front section (1A) has at least one constituent element whose property is different from that of the corresponding element of the rear section (1B). The absorbent article is fully responsive to a variety of article configurations or constructions which require the front (1A) and rear (1B) sections to function differently or individually. A method for manufacturing such an absorbent article is also disclosed.

摘要： A disposable diaper of the type wherein an absorbent member such as cotton-like pulp is covered with a liquid-permeable top sheet such as a non-woven fabric and a liquid-impermeable back sheet such as a plastic film comprises leakage-proofing means around the legs and/or the waiste. The leakage-proofing means consists of a flexible flap such as a non-woven fabric and a flexible member such as rubber. The flap consists of a leg portion (8) projecting upward from a diaper body and inner and outer branches (9, 10) extending inward and outward from the leg portion. The flexible member is fitted to the branches (9, 10) to serve as contractive flexible gathers. The branches (9, 10) comes into flexible and pressure contact with the body (around the thigh and/or the waiste) of a wearer to form a seal.

摘要： A disposable garment of paints type, such as a disposable diaper of pants type, is constructed by attaching respective leg-hole surrounding flaps and waist-hole surrounding flaps to respective opposite side edges extending longitudinally of a basic assembly for the garment which comprises at least a topsheet and a backsheet. The leg-hole surrounding flaps and the waist- hole surrounding flaps respectively cooperate to form a pair of leg-holes. A pair of shoulder straps can be easily prepared by making a slit which extends longitudinally of the garment on each waist-hole surrounding flap. A disposable garment of the present invention is featured in its simple construction and easy production.

摘要： A stretch-activated elastic composite (20A, 20B) comprising: a non-woven fabric (21, 22) having a potential elongatability of higher than 100 % in a predetermined direction, and an elastically recoverable, elastic sheet (11, 12). The elastic sheet in its unstretched state is partially bonded to the non-woven fabric in its unelongated state. The elastic composite exhibits, per unit width of 5 cm: a stress of lower than 1000 g at 30 % stretch; a stress of higher than 400 g at 100 % stretch; a breaking point of higher than 400 g and an elastic limit of higher than 200 %. The elastic composite after being stretched at a rate of lower than 200 % exhibits, per unit width of 5 cm: a stress of lower than 500 g at 30 % stretch and a stress of higher than 100 g at 100 % stretch. The elastic composite after three repeated cycles of 150 % stretching and relaxing exhibits an elastic recovery rate of higher than 60 %. The elastic composite of the present invention provides excellent performance in elastic recovery and a soft surface touch to a human skin, and is best utilized in elasticizing an article portion which is brought into direct contact with the human skin.

摘要： According to the present invention, there is provided a sanitary article comprising a main body having a liquid-impermeable back sheet, a liquid-permeable front sheet and an absorbent material and leg holes having at the opposed edge portions of the main body, further comprising fixation means forming a flexible ring which are fitted closely over the entire circumference of the proximal portion of each of the wearer's legs. The article to which the present invention is directed includes both the diaper and the sanitary napkin and, hence, as the main body, either of one taking the form of underpants when worn, which has a size enough to cover the wearer's entire waist portion, and of a relatively small one which covers only the wearer's crotch portion is used. The sanitary article according to the present invention follows the wearer's movement when it is worn, and the main body does not offset from a predetermined position, but an intended absorbing effect can be displayed to the maximum extent and yet the accidental leakage cannot occur.

摘要： A disposable diaper comprises a liquid permeable top sheet generally of nonwoven fabric, a liquid impermeable back sheet generally of plastic film, an absorbent core interposed between the top sheet and the back sheet and sealing means around the leg and waist of a wearer. The sealing means includes an outer covering sleeve generally of nonwoven fabric and at least one elastic member generally of rubber. The elastic member is positioned within the covering sleeve to define a pair of elasticized inner and outer branch portions which diverge inwardly and outwardly, respectively, from a leg portion which joins the branch portions to a side flap of the diaper. When applying the diaper to the wearer, the inner branch portion and the leg portion together form a pocket for liquid containment.
