    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject spinning machine designed to avoid occurrence of stray fibers to the utmost, and exclude them out of the spinning station zone in case of their occurrence. SOLUTION: This spinning machine having a plurality of spinning stations has such a scheme that each of the spinning stations has a drafting unit and a convergence zone where a drafted fiber strand is to be converged; wherein the fiber strand is to be conveyed through the convergence zone by the aid of an air-permeable conveyor belt on the sliding surface of a suction channel; the sliding surface is provided with suction slits; the suction channel extends along the plural spinning stations, projects into a wedge-shaped gap defined by a pair of the front rollers of the drafting unit and is disposed as close as possible to the front nipping line of the pair of the front rollers and the relevant bottom cylinder without actually contacting with them; and the bottom cylinder has been put to machining work in such a manner that a sufficiently wide cleaning gap with respect to the suction channel is left uncovered among the spinning stations.

    • PURPOSE: To execute smooth and efficient transport with a simple device by guiding the slivers drawn out of cans to the drafting devices of spinning stations by cooperation of transport belts and guiding belts function as sliding guides. CONSTITUTION: The guiding belts 18, which are bridged between supporting means 20, 25, 26 and are held under tensile stress by tension devices 19, are held stationary to face perpendicular portions 10 and 10' after substantially horizontal portions 9 of the turnable transport belts 8 and 8' bridged in an endless form at deflecting rollers 12, 13, 14 and 15 and are functioned as the sliding guides when the slivers 4 and 4' drawn toward arrows A and A' from the cans 5 and 5 are transported to the spinning stations 2 and 2' with the spinning machine 1 having the many spinning stations 2 and 2' arranged in juxaposition in the form of rows on both sides of the machine. The slivers 4 and 4' are smoothly transported to the drafting devices 3 and 3' of the spinning stations 2 and 2' via the guiding belts 18 by driving of the transport belts 8 and 8'.
