    • A method in a server for controlling the distribution of messages from a plurality of clients among a plurality of processing means, including the steps of: establishing whether a message received on an interface board of the server is addressed using a normal identity specific for the client that sent the message and, if yes, then: using a first algorithm to map the normal identity to a load index in a first mapping means; and, mapping the load index to one of the plurality of processing means using a mapping table provided in the interface board. If the message is addressed using an internal identity generated in the server, rather than the normal identity specific for the client that sent the message, then: using a second algorithm to map the internal identity to a load index in a second mapping means; and, mapping the load index to one of the plurality of processing means using the mapping table provided in the interface board.

    • The invention discloses a Home Virtual Private Network server (250), a Home VPN server, for use in a communications operator network (120), which network (120) can communicate with a subscriber network (130), and in which operator network a first protocol on a first level is used. The subscriber network (130) can accommodate at least one subscriber with one subscriber device (131-135) and a communications device (140) which can connect the subscriber to the operator network (120). The Home VPN server (250) comprises functions for: translating IP-addresses and port numbers of IP-packets which are sent between the operator network and the subscriber network, assigning individual IP-addresses to devices in the subscriber network, routing IP-traffic from the operator network to devices in the subscriber network, to which functions the subscriber can connect via said communications device (140) in order to utilize his network (130) as a Home VPN.

    • Embodiments of the invention include a method for providing UE session resilience performed in a first PDN-GW that is coupled to a second PDN-GW, which are both in a PDN-GW pool. The method provides UE session resilience by allowing the first PDN-GW to provide connectivity for UE sessions previously serviced by the second PDN-GW after the second PDN-GW becomes non-operational. The first PDN-GW recognizes that the second PDN-GW failed and then activates a plurality of standby UE sessions. Each standby UE session is a backup UE session corresponding to a previously active UE session serviced on the second PDN-GW. Each standby UE session is associated with a UE device and a network resource identifier of an APN slice. The first PDN-GW transmits a message to a SGW that is servicing the UE sessions that indicates that the SGW should direct traffic previously bound for the second PDN-GW to the first PDN-GW.
