摘要： The invention relates to an artificial lawn, in particular for an artificial grass sports field comprising an artificial mat built up of a carrier to which artificial glass fibres are attached. The object of the invention is to provide a new type of artificial lawn, which in particular obviates the need to use an infill material, without this having an adverse effect on the playing characteristics of the sports field. According to the invention, the carrier is at least in part provided with at least one additional material component, which additional material component imposes a permanent volume increase on said part of the carrier under the influence of an external stimulus after being provided in the artifical mat. The use of an additional material component, which imposes a permanent volume increase on at least a part of the carrier, makes it possible to create an artificial lawn having an additional damping property, which has a positive effect on the playing characteristics of the sports field, such as the absorption of shocks, the restitution of energy and the vertical deformation and which furthermore reduces the number of player injuries.

摘要： The invention relates to an artificial turf suitable for sports fields consisting at least of a substrate to which first artificial grass fibres are attached and of a granular infill, which is provided between said first artificial glass fibres and which is made of a recyclable synthetic material. The invention furthermore relates to a granular infill for use in an artificial turf suitable for sports fields. The use of an infill in artificial grass sports fields has a number of drawbacks. Not only is the construction of such a artificial grass sports field more labour-intensive than the construction of a natural grass sports field, but an artificial grass sports field provided with an infill requires subsequent maintenance as well. The initially uniform distribution of the granular infill can be disturbed by intensive usage. Furthermore it has become apparent that the weather influences affect the properties of the infill with the passage of time, which has a negative effect on the quality of the infill and thus on the playing characteristics of the artificial grass sports field. The object of the invention is to provide an artificial glass sports fields that does not exhibit the above drawbacks. According to the invention, the artificial turf is characterized in that one or more additives have been added to the granular synthetic infill for improving the playing characteristics of the artificial turf.

摘要： The invention relates to a synthetic fibre, in particular a synthetic fibre for use in an artificial lawn. The invention also relates to an artificial lawn comprising such a synthetic fibre. According to the invention the synthetic fibre is to that end characterised in that it is, at least partially, made of a biodegradable material. By using a "bio-based" or biodegradable material as the raw material, the fibre thus obtained can be produced in large amounts from a biological natural project, whose availability is guaranteed also in the future. In addition, the use of a biodegradable fibre in an artificial lawn has the advantage that the fibre can be broken down over time without causing environmental pollution and contamination, unlike crude oil- based synthetic fibres, which remain present permanently, also after use, and thus burden the environment to a significant degree.

The object of the invention is to provide an improved artificial fibre for use in an artificial grass sports field, which fibre is on the one hand less flexible and consequently exhibits less tendency to assume a flat orientation, but which on the other hand does not constitute an increased risk of injuries or have an adverse effect on the playing characteristics. According to the invention, the artificial fibre is characterized in that the fibre is built up of at least two fibre flange portions, at least one fibre flange portion of which forms the stiffness-enhancing means, whilst said at least two fibre flange portions have a uniform thickness.
