    • Method of producing a finite element model of a singular body of complex shape whose exterior surface is known through a cluster (1) of points which analytically or algebraically describes this surface in a determined reference frame, characterized in that it consists in: - a) using a generic and parameterizable finite element model, produced on the basis of simple geometric volumes representative of the family to which the singular body belongs, - b) adapting this model as a function of the parameters descriptive of the singular body to be modelled - c) tailoring this parameterized and generic finite element model (2) in this reference frame and matching the surface nodes (2a) of this parameterized model with points of the known exterior surface (1) of the body by projecting these nodes onto this surface in a direction normal to the surface of the generic model - d) using the nodes (2a) of the surface (7) as control points of a spatial interpolation procedure for customizing the internal finite elements of the generic model (2).
