    • Method and plant for manufacturing parisons of oriented thermoplastic resin, particularly adapted to be subsequently blow moulded for forming into bottles, comprising the phases of injection of the molten resin into a plurality of multicavity moulds, solidification of the respective parisons until a definite temperature is reached, removal of the parisons from the injection moulds and transfer thereof into appropriate rapid-cooling cups, said cooling action occurring by closing the mouth (6) of the parison (2) after the introduction thereof in the respective cup (1), and letting gas under pressure into the cavity of the parisons so as to enable the outer surface thereof to enter into contact with and to conform to the inner surface (3) of the respective cup (1) for a predetermined time. In a preferred manner, said cups (1) are cooled through the provisions of channels (10) in which a cooling medium is circulated. Advantages: the dwelling time of the parisons in the respective injection mould is reduced, while the cycle time rate and, as a result, the productivity of the method/plant is increased.

    • Apparatus for blow moulding hollow plastic bodies from plastic preforms, or parisons, which is adapted to detect bursts occurring in plastic bottles. To this purpose, the apparatus itself comprises a differential pressure transducer arrangement (10, 11), a low-pressure gas supply source (103) along with a related first supply channel (101), a high-pressure gas supply source along with a related second supply channel (105). The differential pressure transducer arrangement is made up by one or more tubes (3, 4) arranged crosswise in the second supply channel; these tubes contain respective separate chambers opening (5, 6) into the interior of said second supply channel (Pitot tubes). Two sensors (7, 8) adapted to detect respective pressures are connected in a distinct manner to said respective chambers. Any possible pressure variation at pre-determined moments during the blow-moulding cycle is processed and compared, and the result is an indication of whether a serious irregularity, such as a burst or a silent gas leakage, took place during the blow-moulding process of a given bottle.

    • Method for manufacturing plastic bottles, including the step in which respective preforms are removed from the respective moulds, and the step in which said preforms are transferred into temperature conditioning stations for a predetermined period of time, during which said preforms are caused to undergo an asymmetrical heat treatment that is effective in heating in a different manner a preform sector having an angular spread of a definite value that is anyway not less than 180°. The method includes the step in which said surface sector of the preform is heated up with the help of heating means that are partially arranged in a crown-like manner around the respective preform. The blow-moulding process comprises the sub-steps in which: the stretching rod is inserted into the preform up to the point in which it almost comes into contact with the bottom thereof; a stretching counter-rod is approached from the outside of the preform up to the point in which it almost comes into contact with the bottom of the preform; the preform undergoes blow-moulding while, at the same time, said stretching rod moves further forward into the preform and, by in this way pressing against the bottom of the preform, pushes the stretching counter-rod in a direction of ejection from the blow-moulding cavity.
