    • An air passage switching system includes a case (11) forming an air passage having an opening portion (16, 17), and a butterfly door (19, 20) for opening and closing the opening. The door includes a door body portion (100) made of a material having a high rigidity, and a seal member (102) attached to the door body. The seal member is made of an elastic material, and is formed into a thin-plate shape to extend from an outer peripheral portion of the door body portion toward an outer side. The seal member of the door is press-fitted to a case seal surface (103, 104) around the opening portion along a seal line (D), so that the opening portion is closed. The door is set in such a manner that an inner peripheral curvature radius (RC2) of a corner portion of the case seal surface on the seal line is larger than an outer peripheral curvature radius (RD) of the seal member on the corner portion. Thus, the air passage switching system prevents air leak due to a deformation of the seal member while being produced in low cost.

    • An air passage switching system includes a case (11) forming an air passage, and a butterfly door (19, 20) for opening and closing the air passage. The door includes a door body (100), a rotation shaft (101) for rotating the door body, and a seal member (102) attached to the door body. A link member (116, 116A) is connected to a first end of the rotation shaft, and the first end of the rotation shaft is rotatably held in a shaft receiving portion (120, 121) of the case through the link member. A first cylindrical portion (110, 110A) is formed in the door body concentrically with the rotation shaft at an outer peripheral side of the first end, and a second cylindrical portion (113) protruding to a side of the door body is formed in the case. The first cylindrical portion and the second cylindrical portion are engaged so that a small gap (X) is formed between an outer peripheral surface of the second cylindrical portion, and an inner peripheral surface of the first cylindrical portion and an end (102C) of the seal member. Further, the first and second cylindrical portions are overlapped in a longitudinal direction of the rotation shaft by a predetermined length (L). Thus, the door is air-tightly connected to the case around the rotation shaft, while it can prevent an operation force of the door from increasing.

    • A method of producing a synthetic resin made article having a porous elastic member,which is useful as an air duct opening/closing damper adaptable in air conditions for automobiles, comprising the steps of: placing a porous elastic member in position against the inner wall surface of one of the opposing segments of an injection mold splittable into two or more segments; closing said injection mold and compressing said porous elastic member by the clamping pressure; casting a synthetic molding resin along the surface of said porous elastic member; and applying a dwell pressure of a preset level for a prescribed period of time to the synthetic resin injected into said mold, and a method of producing a synthetic resin made article having porous elastic members, which is useful as an air duct opening/closing damper adaptable in air conditions for automobiles, which comprises the steps of: placing the porous elastic members in position against the inner wall surfaces of each pair of opposing segments of an injection mold splittable into two or more segments; closing said injection mold and compressing said two porous elastic members by clamping pressure while the protuberant end of a gate provided in the mold is thrust into said elastic members so that said protuberant gate end will pass through one of the two porous elastic members and slightly wedge into the surface of the other elastic member; casting a synthetic molding resin along the opposing faces of said two porous elastic members; and applying a dwell pressure of preset level, for a prescribed period of time, to the synthetic resin injected into said mold.
