    • A dehumidifier system and device for maintaining a dry air environment in enclosures by extracting the water to outside the enclosure. The dehumidifier device comprises a condensation unit, typically a thermoelectric element with a moisture collector, and a sealed pump, such as peristaltic pump, which pumps the condensed humidity out of the sealed enclosure, yet maintains the enclosure seal. The system is provided with a controller which alternately activates the thermoelectric element and the pump, in at least one mode: continuous, periodical, and programmable utilizing a humidity/relative humidity sensor. Optionally, in large-volume enclosures and containers, a fan assembly is connected to the controller so as to provide for rapid circulation of the air and removal of moisture.

    • A snugly-fitting C-clamp strip device evenly and tightly clamping and sealing a container to a matching cover, the container and cover comprising a single locker unit designed for tool-free attachment and removal of cover and container. The clamp is formed as a continuous strip of ribs being joined in alternating upper and lower contiguous ends by shaped links. Both the container and matching cover have protruding lip elements formed as a flange around their respective perimeters which provide a hold for the clamping device. The edges of the lip elements are thus clamped and sealed tightly together under a uniform pressure applied along the common contact perimeter, thus alleviating the need for fasteners.

    • A toilet seat is provided with a device for lifting it automatically whenever the toilet cover is lifted, and for leaving both seat and cover in place on the bowl after the cover has been lowered. For this purpose the seat is fastened to the bowl by two long screw-threaded bolts which extend below the rear ledge of the bowl and whereof one bolt is longitudinally perforated for insertion of a flexible cable. A tubular guide is adjustably and concentrically screwed onto the bolt end and contains a helical spring. The cable extends through the spring and its lower end is connected to the bottom end of the spring by a plug which can move inside the tubular guide, while its upper end is wound around the hub of the toilet seat. The spring is tensioned by adjusting the position of the tubular guide along the screw-threaded bolt, so as to exert a force on the plug and through the cable on the hub of the seat of a magnitude sufficient to raise the seat alone, but not both the seat and the toilet cover.
