    • [Problem] The problem to be solved is to provide an elastic roller, which has excellent non-stick or releasing properties and frictional force (gripping force) and is capable of stably feeding and guiding a belt-shaped member such as a linerless label and a typical label with a liner, even belt-shaped members having different widths. [Solution] The present inventor has focused on covering the outer layer of an inner layer elastic material member (223) with a silicone resin (coating layer (224) ) having a low specified C hardness (hardness according to a spring-type Asker Type C as prescribed in SRIS 0101 specifications). The elastic roller includes an inner layer elastic material member (223) and a coating layer (224) that is provided on the outer circumference of the inner layer elastic material member (223) and contacts the belt-shaped member. The coating layer (224) is configured from a silicone resin with a C hardness of not more than 20. The elastic roller has a second side end part direction sloping circumferential surface (225) in which the elastic roller diameter (D1) decreases gradually toward a second side end part (220L), which is opposite to a first side end part (220R) in the axial direction of the roller shaft (221).

    • [Object] To provide a thermal printer that can prevent deformation of an unprinted label and achieve excellent usability by enabling a printed label to stop at a predetermined position for a long period of time, as well as a program for such a thermal printer. [Means to Achieve Object] A thermal printer includes a control unit that performs control to perform: an option operation, whereby upon completion of printing on a label provided on a continuous label body, the printed label is conveyed to a particular position and then conveyance of the continuous label body is stopped; and a retraction operation, whereby when a preset permitted stop time period has elapsed since the stop of conveyance of the continuous label body without performing next printing during the permitted stop time period, an unprinted label retracts to a retraction position where at least a printing region of the unprinted label is not sandwiched between a platen roller and a thermal head. The control unit can change the permitted stop time period for each type and/or each width of a label to be printed.

    • An RFID-tag reading/writing method and reading/writing device improves processing efficiency of wireless data communication and of lowering an error rate of the reading/writing processing while a RFID tag 11 is being transferred are provided. Paying attention to the wireless data communication conducted with the RFID tag 11 along a plurality of device antennas provided on a transfer path 18 of the RFID tag 11, a reading/writing processing time is calculated based on a length of the device antenna faced with an RFID antenna 15 along a direction of the transfer path 18 and a transfer speed of the RFID tag 11 on the transfer path 18, and the wireless data communication is sequentially executed within the reading/writing processing time while the RFID tag 11 is being transferred between a first device antenna 19, a second device antenna 21 or a third device antenna 23 sequentially provided as device antennas on the transfer path 18 from the upstream side toward the downstream side and the RFID tags 11.
