    • A heating tube for absorbers, which has a heat transfer performance improving rate corresponding to a heat transfer area increasing rate, is equivalent to a smooth tube in mass per unit length, and is not increased in stock material cost. A heating tube (2) for absorbers is constructed such that a plurality of mountain portions (4), extending in an axial direction of the tube on a tube outer surface and having a configuration of arcuate curved surface in a circumferential direction of the tube, are arranged to form valleys (6) between adjacent mountain portions (4) in the circumferential direction, and irregularities are formed on a tube inner surface to correspond to the mountain portions (4) and valleys (6) and that an adsorbent is made to drip or sprinkle on the tube outer surface while a cooling liquid in the tube cools the adsorbent outside the tube. Provided on the respective mountain portion (4) and spaced from one another in the axial direction of the tube are a multiplicity of recesses (8) extending in the circumferential direction of the tube with either bottom sectional configuration, respectively, in the axial direction of the tube and in the circumferential direction of the tube assuming curved surfaces, so that the mountain portions (4) between the recesses (8) are formed as independent fins (10) and opposite ends of the recesses (8) in the circumferential direction of the tube are formed gradually smaller in width to converge.
