摘要： An airbag apparatus comprised of a cover for covering an expanding side of an airbag and forming an opening for the airbag. The cover is comprised of a door portion disposed at the expanding side of the airbag, a surrounding portion surrounding the door portion, a tear portion defining the door portion and tearing due to an expansion force of the airbag, an installation portion protruding from the surrounding portion adjacent to the tear portion toward an opposite side of the expanding side, and a hinge portion connecting the door portion and the surrounding portion located outside of the installation portion.

摘要： An airbag and an airbag device, which are capable of readily improving expansion characteristics of the airbag and reducing manufacturing cost, are provided. An airbag 11 for occupant at passenger's seat includes a first bag 21 and a second bag 22 which is provided inside of the first bag 21. An outside top face portion 36 of the first bag 21 and an inside top face portion 46 of the second bag 22 are brought into a sheet-like intimate contact with each other, and are detachably jointed at the jointing portion 51. The jointing portion 51 is comprised of a breakable seam line 52. Gas is supplied into the second bag 22 to thereby expand the first bag 22, and is supplied into the first bag 21 via a gas distributing portion 48 to thereby expand the first bag 21. In a case where an occupant exists at a predetermined position, the jointing portion 51 breaks away, and the first bag 21 then expands to its maximum. In an OOP state in which the occupant exists in the proximity of the airbag device 1, a head part of the occupant holds the outside top face portion 36 and disallows breakage of the jointing portion 51, so that expansion of the first bag 21 to the occupant side can be restrained and the occupant can be protected with an appropriate force.

摘要： A cover of air bag apparatus includes: a panel body made of resin including a door portion disposed opposing the air bag, a non-expansion portion which surrounds the door portion and a door peripheral portion defining the door portion and the non-expansion portion, containing a hinge opposing portion and a fracture portion to be fractured with a pressure when the air bag is expanded; a backing member made of resin including a door fixing portion welded to the door portion in the form of a sheet, a non-expansion portion fixing portion welded to the non-expansion portion in the form of a sheet and a hinge portion which is deformable, connecting the door fixing portion with the non-expansion portion fixing portion and disposed substantially opposing the hinge opposing portion; and a net body which is disposed across the hinge opposing portion and embedded integrally in a welding portion between the panel body and the backing member except a portion opposing the hinge opposing portion.
