    • A battery connector (5) has an insulative housing (1), an elongate insulative insert (2) and a plurality of terminals (3) insert molded with the insert. The housing defines a plurality of passageways (101) receiving corresponding terminals and a bottom opening (16) transecting the passageways. The insert has a body portion (20) received in the opening and lock portions (21) formed on opposite ends of the body portion engaging with the housing. Each terminal has a contacting portion (31), a connection portion (33), a mounting portion (35) and two spring portions (32, 34). The mounting portion forms a bulge (350) thereon. One of the spring portions is shaped generally having a profile of three-fourth circle.

    • A memory card connector (100) for soldering to a printed circuit board (PCB) includes a U-shaped shell (1), an insulative frame (2), a plurality of conductive contacts (3) partially retained in the insulative frame and an ejecting mechanism. The ejecting mechanism includes a first device (61) for movement with an inserted memory card and a second device (62) for ejecting the memory card. The first device includes an eject metal (612), a slide bar (611) integral with the eject metal, a first cam (614) and a first cam follower (615). The second device includes a push bar (621), a control rod (626), a second cam (624) and a second cam follower (625). By the interoperation of the first device and the second device, the push bar is operable to eject the memory card while at the same time being locked to a forward concealed position.

    • A battery connector includes a number of connector blocks (1) each including an insulative housing (10) and a terminal (3) retained therein. The insulative housing has a mating face (11), opposite sidewalls (14) and a pair of slabs (16). Each sidewall and a corresponding slab define a passageway (17) therebetween. A pair of apertures (18) is defined through the sidewalls communicating with the passageways. The terminal includes a fixing portion (31) and a contact portion (30). The fixing portion includes a base section (32) and a pair of limbs (33) extending from the base section engaging with the passageways. Each limb forms a protrusion (331) thereon engaging with the aperture. The contact portion protrudes beyond the mating face to engage a terminal (50) of a rechargeable battery (5).

The contact insert includes an insulative portion (60) assembled to the insulative housing and a number of electrical terminals (62) retained to the insulative portion and electrically connected with the printed circuit board. The nuts secure the boardlocks, the insulative housing and the conductive front shield together.

    • A locating means assembly (100) includes a housing (1) and a plurality of terminals (2). The housing has a plurality of side walls (14) and defines a plurality of passageways (13) therein. A pair of ribs (12) protrude inwardly from lower portions of two side walls in each passageway and define a pair of grooves (11). Each terminal has a planar soldering portion (21), and a pair of fins (211) extending and bending upwardly from two lateral sides of the soldering portion, respectively. The terminal is received in the housing, the pair of fins elastically engaging in the two grooves, respectively. After the housing with the terminal is picked up and placed on a printed circuit board (PCB), the terminal is soldered to the PCB, and then the housing is removed.
