摘要： The present invention is a method of producing dry, alkali metal or ammonium carboxylic acid salt particles. In accordance with the invention, a molten carboxylic acid is mixed with a solution of an alkali metal-containing or ammonium-containing alkaline compound and the carboxylic acid and alkaline compound are reacted to form the carboxylic acid salt. Water is then removed from the carboxylic acid salt to produce dry, carboxylic acid salt particles. The feed ratio of the molten carboxylic acid and the alkaline compound is controlled to neutralize the carboxylic acid in the process.

摘要： The subject invention relates to a process for preparing a powder containing a water-soluble vitamin which is directly compressible into a tablet prepared by spray drying (a) an aqueous slurry of a water-soluble vitamin and a binder; (b) preferably an adsorbent; and (c) a lubricant. Particularly useful water-soluble vitamins are ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate, and calcium ascorbate. The unique feature of the process is that the lubricant is spray dried along with the other components.The invention also relates to powders prepared by this process. The powders are directly compressible into tablets and will not demix.

摘要： The subject invention relates to a vitamin C powder prepared by (a) spray drying an aqueous slurry of ascorbic acid and binder in the presence of an absorbent in amounts such that the resulting powder will contain at least 90 percent by weight of ascorbic acid, no more than 9 percent by weight of binder, from 0.2 to 2 percent by weight of absorbent; and blending from 0.2 to 5 percent by weight of a lubricant into the powder prepared by step (a). Preferably microcrystalline cellulose and mixtures of microcrystalline cellulose and hydroxypropylmethycellulose are used as the binder.The resulting sugar and starch free vitamin C powder prepared by this process will be free flowing, have an ascorbic acid content of at least 90 percent by weight, be color stable under use conditions, will contain a lubricant, and is directly compressible into tablets which have acceptable hardness, friability, color stability, and disintegration times.
