摘要： A draw tube adaptor for insertion into the draw tube of a lathe. The draw tube adaptor includes a sleeve, and carried within the sleeve are a series of bushings spaced apart from one another. The bushings have bores sized to accommodate the diameter of the stock to be worked, and are maintained in a spaced apart relationship by cylindrical spacers carried within the sleeve. These spacers space the bushings at desired locations throughout the length of the sleeve. A cap arrangement is provided on the sleeve to retain the cylindrical spacers and bushings within the sleeve.

摘要： An expendable jaw combination for use in connection with a chuck for a lathe, milling machine, or the like to hold work stock. A receiver member is attached to the chuck, and an engagement member is provided in an elongated recess in the receiver member for engaging the stock. The receiver member is preferably constructed of tool material, such as tool steel, while the engagement member may be made of a lower cost material which is easier to work, such as mild steel. After the engagement member is used one or more times, it may be reworked or expended. Locking means are provided for securing the engagement member to the receiver member during use.

摘要： A reference stop for use in a lathe having a movable chuck and a draw tube adjacent to the chuck. A movable backstop is provided for rectilinear movement within a sleeve. The sleeve is inserted through the chuck of the lathe and extends into the draw tube. A threaded rod is attached to the backstop and extends outwardly from the sleeve, into the draw tube, and in a direction away from the chuck. The threaded rod is turned by a wrench and driver combination, and turning of the threaded rod causes corresponding rectilinear movement of the backstop in the sleeve, thereby allowing for a workpiece reference stop which is adjustable with respect to the chuck.
