    • A portable electronic device (1410) for controlling a simulated aircraft in a training exercise executing in an Air Traffic Control (ATC) system having a simulator, a method of doing the same using a portable electronic device (1410), and a computer program product are disclosed. The device is capable of wirelessly communicating with the simulator (1420, 1430) also suitable adapted for wireless communications. The device (1410) comprises a display (2014), a memory (2006) for storing data and one or more computer programs, a user input mechanism (2002, 2070, 2071), and a processor (2005). The device (1410) displays on the display information about an aircraft in a training exercise executing on the simulator and receives inputs to control the aircraft in the training exercise on the simulator. The displayed information and the received inputs are communicated between the simulator and the portable electronic device (1410).

    • The shower base (1) of a shower head consists of a rigid perforated plate (1a), which has a number of holes (4, 5). Set inside each of the holes (4, 5) in the perforated plate (1a) is a hose-type jet insert (6, 8) made of a flexible material which, owing to its material properties, can be automatically flexed to dislodge limescale deposits. The shower base (1) is sealed against the rest of the shower head, in particular against its housing (2) by means of one or more seals (25, 29). This/these seal(s) (25, 29) is/are made of the same material as the jet inserts (6, 8) and is/are manufactured jointly with these, for preference connected in one piece. In this way, it is not necessary for the seals (25, 29) to be manufactured, kept in store and assembled separately.

    • A multifunction hand shower can be used in at least two modes of operation: in the first of these modes of operation, the shower jets emerge from the shower base (3) in a constant stream at relatively high speed and with a small cross-section ("hard jet mode") and in the second mode of operation they emerge at high speed and with a relatively small cross-section, but are intermittently interrupted ("pulse jet mode"). The periodic interruption of the "pulse jets" is ensured by a pulse wheel (23) which is housed in a circular chamber (20) in the housing (1) in such a way that it can rotate. In the "hard jet mode", the rotation of the pulse wheel (23) is interrupted, by a stop (45), in a quite specific angular position which allows the hard jets to emerge from the shower base (3) in a constant stream. To change over to "pulse jet mode", the stop (45) is moved out of the path of movement of a stop (28) which is connected to the pulse wheel (23) such that the pulse wheel (23) is now able to rotate freely. The paths taken by the water inside the housing (1) and especially the water outlet openings (4) through which the water flows are the same in the "hard jet mode" and the "pulse jet mode".

    • The housing (1) of a flow restricting valve has a first connection (3) which acts as a connection to a shower hose, and also a second connection (5) via which the valve can be connected to a hand shower. There are provided inside the housing 1 and parallel to each other, two outlet openings 7, 8 which determine the rate of flow per unit of time. One (7) of these outlet openings has a smaller cross-section than the other (8). The outlet opening (8) with the larger cross-section is normally sealed by a valve disk (9) so that the water can only flow through the smaller outlet opening (7) at a smaller power output per liter. If, once in a while, a greater power output per liter is required from the shower, then the valve plate can be removed from the outlet opening (8) with the larger cross-section by means of a manual actuator (15) and moved into a second position in which it at least considerably throttles or completely seals the flow path to the outlet opening (7) with the smaller cross-section. Owing to the difference in pressure of the water acting on it, the valve disk (9) remains in this position, in which a greater power output per liter flows to the shower, until the water is shut off at the shower control and the valve disk (9) returns once again to its original position under the action of a spring (26).
