[Class 130] The bowl comprises a base portion 12 to which is attached an upper portion 11 formed with a hollow wall 18 communicating with the inside of the bowl by passages 23, so that the smoke circulates in the wall 18 and then passes through a passage 29 to a chamber 30 beneath the bowl, condensation from the smoke, which occurs in the wall 18, draining into this chamber 30. In a modification, the lower part of the bowl may be narrowed longitudinally so that it may be gripped for unscrewing the parts.

摘要： 327,372. Segal, H. R. Sept. 20. 1929. Razors, safety. In a safety razor of the clamped blade type, the blade is detachable from the razor without the necessity for detaching the razor parts. For this purpose, the blade has a central opening adequate for the passage of the clamping plate 7 when in the extended position, Fig. 1. The opening also renders the blade transversely flexible. The razor comprises a plate 7 pivotally mounted on a rod 12 which is slidable in a barrel 16 associated with a guard 5. The rod is threaded at its lower end to engage a nut 19 which has a bushing 18 so as to be rotatable relative to the barrel but frictionally held in engagement with it. The rod 12 carires a spring pressed pin 15, the reduced end portion 21 of which engages a sleeve 20, the intermediate por. tion being constrained, upon axial movement of the sleeve, to follow a path determined by a slot 17 in the barrel 16. The guard carries the usual aligning-studs 9 which may engage recesses or holes 8 in the plate. After using the razor, the blade is removed by sliding the sleeve 20 towards the guard until the pins 9 are free, the movement of the plate is vertical, the slot F7 being longitudinal. The slot is thereafter curved along a tangential path so that rotary movement is imparted to the plate. The plate is weighted at one end and finally takes up the position shown in Fig. 1, when the blade may be passed over it. In the reverse operation, for closing, the plate is deflected from the guard by a cam-like member 23 thereon, and the blade is finally tensioned by the nut 19. The razor may if desired be dismantled by withdrawing the nut 19 and by pressing the pin 15 into an inoperative position, when the rod 12 may be pulled completely from the razor.
