    • A wall mount fiber optic connector includes a connector body portion to be mounted on a wall of an electronic system, and the connector body portion has ferrule-receiving passageways therein. Opto-electronic (O/E) converters are coupled to the ferrule-receiving passageways, with each O/E converter being associated with a respective ferrule-receiving passageway. Biasing members are coupled to the O/E converters, with each biasing member urging a respective O/E converter forward. The wall mount fiber optic connector also includes flexible circuits, with each flexible circuit having a first end coupled to a respective O/E converter. A printed circuit board is coupled to second ends of the flexible circuits. An electrical connector portion is carried by the connector body portion and is coupled to the printed circuit board.

The sleeve includes seating surface, an aperture, and thread form. The panel nut has a thread form, and a seating surface. The thread form of the panel nut is complimentary to the thread form of the sleeve so that the panel nut is removeably mountable on the sleeve. In a mounted position, the thread form of the panel nut fully engages the thread form of the sleeve so that the seating surface of the of the panel nut contacts a first one surface of a bulkhead and the seating surface of the sleeve contacts another surface of the bulkhead so that the device is securely mounted to the bulkhead.

    • Calibration of sensors of the type used for the cutaneous determination of blood oxygen and carbon dioxide levels is facilitated by providing separate sensor units, alternatively and removably connectable to a calibration device and to the measuring devices with which they are used for such determinations. The sensor units contain, in addition to a sensor electrode, a data memory in which is stored calibration data generated when the sensor unit is connected to the calibration device. The calibration device can provide a plurality of calibration stations, each capable of supplying a standard gas to a connected sensor and, in response to signals from the sensor exposed to the standard gas, generating data signals representing the calibration of the sensor, which signals are transmitted to the data memory of the sensor unit. Upon connection of the sensor unit to the measuring device, the calibration data from the data memory of the sensor unit are used as a calibration base for measurements by the sensor.
