摘要： A blood glucose meter having a test strip port and an adjustable lancet device disposed at the same end of the device body is disclosed. The device body further includes an enclosure at the proximal end of the device body which houses a test strip storage vial and which facilitates one-handed opening and closing of the vial to simplify access to test strips contained therein. The enclosure is further provided with a window which allows the reading of the lot numbers on the label of the test strip vial therein without necessitating removal of the vial. A data connector is also provided on the device body for communication access, such as to upload data from other devices or to download data to other devices.

摘要： Featured is an inventive anchor/implant deployment device for use in repairing damage to tissue (e.g., meniscus) as well as tissue repair methods related thereto. Such an anchor/implant deployment device is advantageously configured and arranged so the deployment device is capable of making at least an in situ adjustment to the path of a needle portion having the anchor(s)/implant(s); is capable of rotating such a needle portion or the portion extending into the tissue/meniscus so that the distal end entering into the tissue/meniscus is desirably oriented such as to, for example, minimize damage to tissue; and making the needle portion of the deployment device replaceable so as to allow the deployment device to be reloaded thereby making other portions of the deployment device reusable during a given, procedure.

摘要： A latch mechanism secures a computer component to a chassis; the mechanism includes a base that is attached to the computer component, a latch handle pivotably mounted on the base, the latch handle being capable of pivoting away from the base. An actuator arm is pivotably mounted to the latch handle so that when the latch is pivoted away from the base, the actuator arm will also move away from the base. A cam plate is also pivotably mounted on the base and is capable of rotating with respect to the base. The cam plate includes at least one notch adapted to cooperate with the chassis so that as the cam plate is rotated, the notch selectively engages and disengages with the chassis.

摘要： An apparatus and method for removably holding an axle includes an axle attachment which is removably attachable to an end of the axle. A threaded shaft is coupled to the axle attachment, and a latch is selectively engageable with the threads of the shaft. A crank is coupled to the shaft, and rotation of the crank results in advancement of the axle attachment towed the end of the axle, to clamp the axle between the axle attachment and a centering apparatus engageable with the opposite end of the axle. The latch is movable to a release position in which the latch is disengaged from the threads of the shaft. A spring bears against the crank so as to bias the axle attachment away from the end of the axle, and the spring functions to disengage the axle attachment from the end of the axle when the latch is moved to its release position. The centering apparatus is movable to varying positions so as to accommodate varying axle lengths and to provide proper centering of the axle.
