摘要： An intravascular stent having a radially expandable, tubular body comprised of a fiber braid whose fibers are biodegradable polymer fibers characterized by the thermal characteristics of an at least partially crystalline polymer, as measured by differential scanning calorimetry, and a tensile strength per fiber cross-sectional area, of greater than about 0.8 g/mil 2 , and fastened or woven at their free ends at the opposite ends of the stent, to retain the stent's tubular shape, permitting the stent body to be stretched in a radial direction with respect to the stent's tubular axis. Also disclosed are methods of forming and using the stent.

摘要： Devices, systems, and methods are sized and configured for joining body conduits, desirably without the use of tissue-penetrating fasteners. The device comprises a connector structure that is sized and configured to be surgically inserted between the separated ends of two body conduits. The connector structure includes a first end for insertion into a first body conduit, a second end for insertion into a second body conduit, and an intermediate region between the first and second ends for establishing a connection site between the first and second end. Said connection site creates a patent lumen between the first and second body conduits while tissue healing occurs. Method for inserting the connector structure within the body lumen is also disclosed.

摘要： A stent designed for catheter delivery to a target neurovascular site via a tortous path, in a contracted state, and deployment at the target site, in an expanded state, is disclosed. The stent includes a plurality of expandable tubular members, where member is composed of a continous wire element forming a plurality of wave segments, and segment contains a pair of opposite looped peaks having a wave shape such that the distance between adjacent sides of a wave, on proceeding from a peak toward opposite peaks, increases monotonically with an inflection point therebetween. The expandable tubular members are joined through adjacent peaks by axial connectors. Radial expansion of the stent from a contracted to expanded state is accomodated by movement of adjacent wave-segment peaks away from one another, without significant change in the axial dimension of the stent. Also disclosed are a system incorporating the stent, and a method of treating a neurovascular abnormality.
