摘要： Described is the combination of conventional stapling (1) and hole-punching (2) devices by means of a bar (13) mounted over the devices so that it can be moved, thus making it possible to operate the two devices simultaneously or separately. An operating element (10) is fitted in a slot (11) in the cover plate (12). When the bar (13) is pressed downwards by this operating element when in position A, only the hole-punch operating lever (14) is actuated, with the bar in position B only the stapler operating lever (15) is actuated, and with the bar in position A+B both are actuated together. The combined device can also be fitted with a letter-opening blade mounted vertically and rising at an angle on the rear of the device and connected to the hole-punch operating lever (14).

The spherical cap is in turn mounted on the plane or concave bottom (7) of a cylinder (6) that encloses it. The angle of inclination of the movements thus made possible is determined by the height of the cylinder, which may be adjusted by a screw mechanism (8), as well as by the diameter of the central opening in the cover plate (5). Besides an increased mobility of the upper body when carrying out tasks in the seating position, and the resulting increased action range, the automatic corrections required when seated and the stimulation of the nerve ends located at the end of the vertebral column are advantageous for physical well-being.
