    • Sediment control devices and systems are provided. The devices are in the form of a multi-layered, fillable bag which generally includes an inner bag structured to contain a granular material, for example, gravel or stone, a separate reinforcement layer located outwardly of the inner bag, and a and an outer layer enclosing the reinforcement layer and having a sealable opening providing access to the inner bag. The devices may be provided pre-filled with the granular material. The devices provide an effective, durable system for filtering runoff water, controlling erosion and/or controlling sedimentation at a construction sight.

    • A wattle manufacturing system generally includes a hopper having an inlet for receiving a supply of straw, a loosening mechanism for loosening the straw when the straw is placed in or near the hopper inlet, a compaction chamber positioned to receive the loosened straw from the hopper, and a discharge conduit in communication with the compaction chamber. The discharge conduit may be in the form of a generally cylindrical tube, hereinafter sometimes referred to as an ejection tube, and generally includes a discharge end adapted to hold a netting material, for example a tubular shaped netting material, suitable to contain compacted straw. The netting material may be provided in a cartridge form which is structured to be coupled to the discharge end of the ejection tube.

    • A sediment control device includes an under-seal gasket, a threshold member, a filter member, and a berm extending upwards from the top surface of the under-seal gasket. The under-seal gasket includes a first central opening, and the filter member includes a second central opening smaller than the first central opening. The threshold member and the filter member are attached directly to the bottom surface of the under-seal gasket, but are not attached to each other. The threshold member extends across the first and second central openings and includes a plurality of apertures. The berm includes an elongated cylindrical foam member that surrounds a perimeter of the first central opening, and may in some examples consist of a separate berm component comprising one or more lengths of elongated cylindrical foam members separately encased in berm sleeves, and arranged to surround the perimeter of the first central opening.
