Vehicle lamps.- A vehicle lamp comprising a rectangular metal body 1 having the usual glass panels 8 in two sides is provided at the top with a chamber 11 around the periphery of which are arranged transparent or translucent panels 12 upon which characters such as advertising matter may be represented. To permit the panels 12 being illuminated from the interior, the lamp is provided with a glass chimney 14 which is secured between an annular flange 13 within the lamp casing and a metal cap 15 by nuts 16 on screwed rods 17 secured to the casing. The rear side of the lamp body is provided with a reflector 5 and means 6 for attaching to a bracket and the remaining side is provided with a transparent or translucent panel 10 upon which characters such as advertising matter may also be represented. The source of illumination consists of an oil lamp 2 to which air is suppled through holes 19, the combustion products escaping unrough holes 18 in the cap 15. A socket 4 for an electric lamp bulb may also be provided.
