摘要： A method is provided for retrieving an illustration of a segment of text from a database of illustrations. One or more keywords are identified in the segment and, from the keywords, a set of related terms is derived. The related terms are clustered into subsets such that the terms in each subset have a similar meaning and terms in different subsets have different meanings. A query is formed from each subset and comprises at least some of the terms of the subset optionally together with one or more of the associated keywords. The queries are issued to a search engine for the database of illustrations and illustrations retrieved from the database are presented in any appropriate way to a user for selection so as to illustrate the segment of text.
