摘要： An optical device (200) based on an electrochromic layered stack (210,310) is disclosed. The optical device comprises infrared absorbing material (220) that is by preferencebased on nanoparticles (222) embedded in a matrix (224). The matrix can be a polymer film, the substrate (230) itself or one or more layers of the electrochromic layered stack. The infrared absorbing material is in thermal contact with the electrochromic layered stack. The optical device solves the problem occurring at low temperatures of having too long switching times between the bleached and darkened state of the electrochromic stack. By introducing the infrared absorbing material the switching times can be reduced by 17 up to 54 % when starting from the bleached state, depending on the incandescent solar irradiation and the outdoor temperature.

摘要： The invention relates to an infra-red reflecting layered structure comprising a transparent substrate layer; a first metal oxide layer; a first silver containing layer; a second metal oxide layer; a second silver containing layer and a third metal oxide layer. The first, second and third metal oxide layer have a refractive index of at least 2.40 at a wavelength of 500 nm. The layered structure according to the present invention laminated on glass has a visual light transmittance (VLT) higher than 70 % and a solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) lower than 0.44. The invention further relates to the use of a layered structure as a transparent heat-mirror.

摘要： A light weight electrochromic dimmable mirror stack (300, 600) is presented that is composed only of solid-state layers (315, 615) with a total thickness of less than 50 micron and a reflector (310, 610). Normally such a kind of layered device suffers from iridescence due to interference of light waves reflecting at the interfaces between the layers of the electrochromic device. The solution provided by the invention is to pattern at least one of the layers (315, 615) in the device such that the interference effects are smeared out and a more neutral color is obtained. Various possible configurations are described and also the method to produce such a device.

Characteristic about this sawing rope (270) in view of the prior known sawing ropes is that each sleeve shows a connection or closure. Such a connection makes it possible to attach abrasive elements (506) on the rope without having to thread them on the rope (270) as is needed when making prior-art sawing ropes. The inventive sawing rope (270) can therefore be made in long lengths in a very efficient way.

摘要： The invention relates to an optical filter comprising a transparent substrate layer, a number of units, each unit comprising a metal oxide layer and a silver containing layer and an additional metal oxide layer. The metal oxide layers have a refractive index of at least 2.40 at a wavelength of 500 nm. The optical filter according to the present invention has a visual light transmittance (VLT) higher than 65 % and a transmittance at 820 nm lower than 10 %. The invention further relates to the use of an optical filter for the shielding of electromagnetic interference and near-infrared radiation of a plasma display panel.
