A catch for holding a door or window or other hinged member temporarily in a certain position relative to the frame on which it is hingedly mounted, comprises a slide 7, adapted to be pivotted to either the frame 2 or, as shown, the door 3, and slidahly supported in a bearing 12-13, the bearing being adapted to be pivotally mounted on the door 3 or, as shown, the frame 2, e.g. about a bolt 11, an engagement member 8 and a clip 9 being carried either by the bolt 11 .and the slide 7, respectively, or (as shown) by the slide and the bolt respectively. With the arrangement shown and with the angular position of the clip 9 suitably adjusted, the door 3 will be held in an open position when the engagement member 8 is engaged in the clip 9, Fig. 4 (not shown). Alternatively the catch may be used to hold the door in its closed position if the mounting positions of the various components are chosen accordingly. The slide 7 is pivotted on bolt 6, which may extend through one of three pairs of holes 6' depending upon the dimensions of the door and frame. Bearing 13 may comprise a nylon sleeve. The engagement member 8 may be formed by bending the end of the slide, may be of l-section metal or plastics material or may, as shown, be formed by a separate tube welded to the slide 7.

摘要： Aspects of the present invention include methods and compositions for determining the number of individual polynucleotide molecules originating from the same genomic region of the same original sample that have been sequenced in a particular sequence analysis configuration or process. In these aspects of the invention, a degenerate base region (DBR) is attached to the starting polynucleotide molecules that are subsequently sequenced (e.g., after certain process steps are performed, e.g., amplification and/or enrichment). The number of different DBR sequences present in a sequencing run can be used to determine/estimate the number of different starting polynucleotides that have been sequenced. DBRs can be used to enhance numerous different nucleic acid sequence analysis applications, including allowing higher confidence allele call determinations in genotyping applications.

摘要： A system and method of detecting undesired email containing image-based messages employs a statistical analysis process which identifies and assigns probability values to the presence of each of a pre-selected set of text-related characteristics of an email under consideration and to the presence of each of a pre-selected set of image-related characteristics of the email under consideration. The identified characteristics and their associated probability values are used to determine whether the email is undesired. In one embodiment, the identification and assignment of probability values is a Bayesian analysis and, preferably, a Statistical Token Analysis. The system and method can identify undesired emails which contain images having messages, generally in the form of text in the image.
