摘要： A hydrocarbon source feed is upgraded using a solvent deasphalting (SDA) unit employing a solvent having a critical temperature Tc by initially separating from a first hydrocarbon input stream fractions with an atmospheric equivalent boiling temperature less than about Tf° F. for producing a stream of Tf-fractions and a residue stream (Tf+ stream), where Tf is greater than about Tc-50° F. In the SDA unit, a second hydrocarbon input stream which includes the residue stream is deasphalted for producing a first product stream of substantially solvent-free asphaltenes, and a second product stream containing substantially solvent-free deasphalted oil (DAO). The source feed may be included in either the first or second input streams. The DAO in the second product stream is thermally cracked for producing an output stream that includes thermally cracked fractions and by-product asphaltenes produced by thermally cracking the DAO. Finally, at least some the said thermally cracked fractions are included in the first input stream.

摘要： Upgrading of a hydrocarbon feed (11) containing sulfur, metals, and asphaltenes involves applying the feed (11) to a distillation column (14) for producing a substantially asphaltene-free, and metal-free distillate fraction and a non-distilled fraction (18) containing sulfur, asphaltenes, and metals. At least some of the substantially asphaltene-free, and metal-free distillate fraction is converted to a hydrogen donor diluent. The non-distilled fraction (18) is processed in a solvent deasphalting unit (19) for producing a deasphalted oil stream (20) and an asphaltene stream (21). After a combined stream (23) is formed from the hydrogen donor diluent and the deasphalted oil stream, the combined stream (23) is thermally cracked forming a thermally cracked stream (25) that is applied to the distillation column(14).

A secondary power unit in the form of a closed cycle vapor turbine (CCVT) system that is capable of producing 100% of the electric power that is produced by the primary power unit and which is heated in hot standby by rejected heat of the primary power unit, wherein the vaporized (58) of the CCVT is preferable maintained at idle during hot standby at a rotating speed. Preferably, the CCVT includes a burner (56) that combusts the same fuel as the primary power unit and supplied sufficient heat so that the CCVT produces 100% of power produced by the primary unit to the load once the primary power units stops operation.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure in comparison with a conventional apparatus to facilitate maintenance by providing a gas turbine unit for generating exhaust gas by expanding combustible gas, and an indirect heat exchanger, and means for using the heat in the exhaust gas generated by the turbine. SOLUTION: The apparatus is composed of a gas turbine unit 11 comprising a compressor 12 for generating compressed air, a combustion chamber 13 to which the compressed air is supplied, a source 14 of fuel, a gas turbine 15 for generating exhaust gas by expanding combustible gas. An indirect heat exchanger 18 is provided to operate according to the combustion product to preheat the compressed air before supplying the product to the combustion chamber 13 to generate cooled combustion product which includes heat to be used. Further means for using the heat in the exhaust gas generated by the turbine is provided. Thus an apparatus 20 for recycling the exhaust gas into the combustion apparatus 19. This allows the structure to be simplified in comparison to the conventional apparatus, leading to easy maintenance.
