    • PURPOSE:To measure the pulse period under the optimum interpulse distance at all times by frequency dividing the output pulse of the speed detector or a chassis- dynamometer corresponding to its detection speed. CONSTITUTION:The output of pulse of speed detector provided in a chassis-dinamometer is sent to frequency counter 3, which counts the pulses of clock pulse generator 4, via frequency divider 2. The measured frequency is supplied to frequency-division-ratio switch 51 and speed comparator 52, and it is compared with the preset value of period. Frequency-division-ratio switch 51 selects a frequency- division ratio and sets it in frequency divider 2. Speed comparator 52 sends the coinciding output to time meter 6. Consequently, since it is possible to automatically frequency- divide the output pulse of speed detector 1 by the optimum frequency- division ratio determined by its detected speed, it is possible to eliminate variation in the measured value of pulse frequency at the time of high speed operation and thereby to improve measuring precision.

    • PURPOSE:To completely compensate the output of displacement meters as to temperature, by determining the ratio of the output difference between both the displacement meters facing each other across a displaced piece, to a weighted value resulting from the addition of a prescribed offset value to the sum of the outputs of the displacement meters. CONSTITUTION:Displacement meters 1, 2 are so placed that they face each other across a displaced piece 3. It is supposed that the displacement meters 1, 2 produce output voltage V1, V2 as to a certain displacement of the piece 3 from the middle point of both the displacement meters 1, 2 as a reference. Although the difference between the output voltages V1, V2 has only one temperature term and the linearity between the difference and the displacement of the piece 3 is high, the influence of temperature is not eliminated. The sum of both the output voltages is constant to the displacement because the voltages have inverse polarity to each other. As for the ratio of (V1-V2)/(V1+V2), the temperature term is represented in the form of a ratio and the influence of temperature is reduced. To remove the temperature term, the difference V1-V2 is divided by a weighted value resulting from the addition of a prescribed offset voltage to the sum V1+V2. The influence of temperature is thus completely eliminated.
