    • An airbag module with a gas generator, airbag, diffuser and with an airbag module housing, in particular for carrying the gas generator and the airbag is provided. The diffuser is designed as a component partially fitting tightly at the ends thereof against the gas generator, whereby the diffuser extends in the region of the gas outlet openings of the gas generator at a distance from the gas generator. The airbag module housing has in the region of the ends of the gas generator contact surfaces for the gas generator, whereby dented sections of the airbag module housing are provided as contact surfaces. The gas generator is clamped between the diffuser and the airbag module housing for arranging the gas generator on the airbag module housing, whereby the contact surfaces form first clamping points fitting against the gas generator for clamping the gas generator on the airbag module housing.

    • A device for fixing an airbag which is fastened to a holding frame in a housing of a front passenger airbag module by means of at least one clamping element arranged separately from the holding frame. The housing and the clamping element are non-deformable in the region of the holding frame. The clamping element is free from screw or rivet connections and is dimensioned so that it is spaced from the holding frame when being introduced into the clamping position by a distance which is greater than the thickness of an optionally provided protective film for the airbag. The clamping element is fixed in its clamping position at a distance from the holding frame.

    • An airbag arrangement for a vehicle occupant restraint system includes an inflatable airbag having at least one outflow opening through which gas can flow out of the airbag. The airbag arrangement also includes a stretchable element including a covering structure for adjustably covering a portion of the outflow opening. The covering structure moves relative to the outflow opening when the stretchable element is stretched. The airbag arrangement also includes a fastener for fastening the stretchable element to the airbag so the stretchable element stretches when the airbag inflates and the covering structure moves relative to the outflow opening changing the size of the covered portion of the outflow opening.
