摘要： Provided is a network device capable of achieving low power consumption of a call control card and suppressing a failure of the call control card. A network device 20 includes a selection unit 23 that selects a call control card, for which a power supply is to be disconnected, from a plurality of call control cards, and a power saving control unit 24 that disconnects the power supply of the call control card selected by the selection unit 23. The power saving control unit 24 reduces a margin set in a call control cards not selected by the selection unit 23 in response to the disconnection of the power supply of the call control card selected by the selection unit 23 to thereby increase the number of operational connection calls set in the call control card not selected by the selection unit 23.

摘要： A method is disclosed that is capable of appropriately assigning radio resource even when a propagation quality changes. After receiving the required communication rate from the mobile station, the base station measures the maximum used radio resource, and multiplies the maximum used radio resource by a factor α. Next, the base station subtracts the above result from the total radio resource and obtains the maximum assignable radio resource. Then, the base station calculates an admissible communication rate based on the maximum assignable radio resources. Then, if the required communication rate is less than or equal to the admissible communication rate, the base station admits the request.

摘要： One preferred embodiment of the invention provides a wireless base station which provides a multicasting service to simultaneously transmit identical data to a plurality of wireless terminals. A wireless base station is connected to a plurality of wireless terminals and provides a multicasting service for a plurality of wireless terminals. The wireless base station determines autonomously whether it provides the multicasting service for the plurality of wireless terminals. Another preferred embodiment of the invention provides a method of selecting a wireless base station for a wireless terminal, the wireless base station providing a multicasting service for the wireless terminal. When the wireless terminal can receive the same multicasting information from a plurality of wireless base stations, the wireless terminal selects one of the plurality of wireless base stations so as to make the number of the wireless base stations that send the same multicasting information as small as possible.
