    • A method and apparatus of providing a back-channel for a receiver terminal in a loosely-coupled conference is described. The loosely-coupled conference includes at least one receiver terminal and a H.323 panel having a multipoint controller with a multipoint address and one or more H.323 terminals coupled to the multipoint controller and each to transmit and receive media streams on a multicast address. The method includes the steps of receiving media streams of the one or more H.323 terminals on the multicast address by the receiver terminal, connecting to the multipoint controller by using the multipoint address, and joining the H.323 panel to transmit and receive media streams on the multicast address for establishing bi-directional communication with the one or more H.323 terminals.

    • An enhanced micro-controller having multiple operating modes, including an idle mode, an analog voice mode, a digital data mode, and a simultaneous voice and data (SVD) mode, is provided to a DCE designed to support multi-modal voice and/or data calls over a single analog-loop telephone line. The enhanced micro-controller further contains control logic for establishing multiple logical connections and voice as well as data transmission protocols over these logical connections with another DCE, when switching from the analog voice mode to the SVD mode, and for multiplexing voice and data transmissions over these logical connections. During operation, the control logic transmits voice over a logical voice connection in nominally fixed intervals without error control, i.e. re-transmission for reliability. If non-voice transmission, i.e. data or information to be exchanged, is in progress, when it is time to transmit voice, and there are voice to be transmitted, the non-voice transmission is preferably suspended in favor of the voice transmission.

    • The present invention is a method of providing a back-channel for a receiver terminal in a loosely-coupled conference. The loosely-coupled conference includes at least one receiver terminal and a H.323 panel having a multipoint controller with a multipoint address and one or more H.323 terminals coupled to the multipoint controller and each to transmit and receive media streams on a multicast address.     • The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented systems and methods for wireless display discovery. The method may include receiving, by a computer, a selection to detect wireless display devices. The computer may include one or more processors, a radio transceiver, and a microphone. The method may also include identifying, by the radio transceiver, a plurality of wireless display device and transmitting, by the radio transceiver, respective connection requests to the plurality of wireless display devices. Additionally, the method may include transmitting, by the radio transceiver to the wireless display devices, respective requests for inaudible audio signal transmission. The method may also include receiving, by the microphone, a plurality of inaudible audio signals from the wireless display devices. Further still, the method may include determining, based at least in part on the plurality of inaudible audio signals, whether any of the plurality of wireless display devices are in the same room as the computer.

    • A high speed serial bus is disclosed have particular application for use in passing messages in a multiple processor computer system. The serial bus includes a three-wire serial link having lines identified as "SDA", "SDB" and "ground". The ground line provides a common reference for all devices coupled to the serial bus. A message controller is coupled to each agent for transmitting and receiving serial data along the bus. Both lines of the serial bus as well as the ground are coupled to a bus state detector in the message controller which provides three basic signal outputs. The bus state detector determines whether or not the bus is in use, a collision has occurred between messages, and decodes data received on the bus. Data which is transmitted along the serial bus is driven on lines SDA and SDB 180 degrees out of phase relative to each other. The message controller encodes messages to be transmitted using, in the present embodiment, well known Manchester encoding techniques. A bus idle state occurs when all transmitters are off allowing both lines SDA and SDB be pulled high by pull-up resistors. Valid data states may occur any time a single transmitter is transmitting. When two or more transmitters begin transmitting a collision state exists. The message controller recognizes collisions and provides a back-off algorithm.
