    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous floating-tile-retaining material which exhibits excellent durability, strength and a high degree of toughness, and which is excellent in flexibility and pliability, and to provide a tile-exfoliation preventing construction method. SOLUTION: A groove is provided to a joint of a floating tile so that the end side of the floating tile is exposed. Then a hollow part having an arc-shaped cross section is formed at both ends of the groove, and the hollow part reaches at least a building frame or a predetermined depth of a base. A bonding-fixing material is filled into the groove and the hollow part, and a fiber bundle which is constituted by aligning and binding a plurality of fiber-like materials in one direction is buried in the groove and the hollow part. Alternatively, a string-shaped body which is a synthetic macromolecule or a bundle of string-shaped bodies constituted by aligning and binding a plurality of the string-shaped bodies in one direction is buried in the groove and the hollow part. By making the bonding-fixing material permeate into and integrate with the fiber bundle or the string-shaped body, or the string-shaped-body bundle, the floating tile and the building frame or the base are bonded and fixed together by means of the fiber bundle with the bonding-fixing material or by the string-shaped body or the string-shaped-body-bundle with the bonding-fixing material.
