摘要： The present invention relates to a process for preparing alanine, especially L-alanine, by culturing a genetically modified microorganism that is able to produce alanine from glucose, characterized in that the microorganism used is one whose native sugar metabolism has been diverted to alanine formation, especially L-alanine formation, in such a manner that essentially more than 40 %, preferably more than 60 % and more preferably more than 75 % of the carbon consumed from the medium is converted into alanine, especially via pyruvate. The microorganism is preferably a homofermentative microorganism, especially a lactic acid bacterium, more particularly (a strain of) L. lactis, and is preferably a food-grade microorganism. The invention can be used for both the in situ and the stereospecific preparation of alanine. The invention also relates to the microorganisms and recombinant DNA molecules that can be used in the invention and to the alanine and alanine-containing (food) products obtained according to the invention.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method of controlledly inducing expression of a DNA fragment in a lactic acid bacterium, the DNA fragment containing one or more genes which code for a desired property, characterized - in that the DNA fragment is under the control of a promoter of a microbial gene which codes for an antimicrobial peptide, and - in that expression of the gene/genes on the DNA fragment is induced by the addition of a suitable inducing factor for the transcription activation. The promoter is preferably the nisA promoter from Lactococcus lactis. The inducing factor is preferably acceptable for food products, more preferably being nisine or derivatives thereof. The invention further relates to a method for the production of proteins or RNA and to a method for preparing dairy products, employing the expression system according to the invention. 摘要： A process for preparing alanine by culturing a genetically modified microorganism that produces alanine from glucose. The microorganism is one that has been modified to result in an overexpression of an endogenous alanine dehydrogenase gene, expression of a heterologous alanine dehydrogenase gene, or a combination of both. The source of alanine dehydrogenase may be Bacillus sphaericus. The modified microorganisms may be a homofermentative microorganism, such as a strain of L. lactis. The process can be used for in situ and stereoscopic preparation of alanine. The invention also relates to the microorganisms and the recombinant DNA molecules that can be used in the invention, as well as to alanine and alanine-containing products obtained according to the process of the invention.
