摘要： An image pickup device the camera head of which is interchangeable and which is provided with a novel analog interface. The camera head section (1) is constituted of an image pickup device (11), a drive circuit (14), and a synchronizing signal generating circuit (18). A color and luminance signal generating section (6) is composed of a camera signal processing circuit (51), a Y/C separation/demodulation circuit (57), and a signal identifying circuit (56). Camera signal processing, and Y/C separation/demodulation are switched to each other by adding a synchronizing signal to the output signal of the camera head section (1) and identifying the kind of the output signal from the synchronizing signal. Signals from multiple camera head sections can be processed with one signal processing section (6) by switching the signals to each other. In addition, since the output of the camera head section is automatically discriminated from television signals, they can be inputted from the same input terminal and the user of this image pickup device is not required to discriminate the signals fed from the camera head section (1) from the TV signals and required only to make connection.
