    • A radio communication apparatus is provided that enables degradation of error rate performance due to puncturing to be minimized when an LDPC code is used as an error correcting code. In this apparatus, a padding bit insertion section (101) inserts padding bits in a transmission bit sequence based on a parity check matrix, and outputs the generated bit sequence to an LDPC encoding section (102). Using the parity check matrix, LDPC encoding section (102) performs LDPC encoding on the bit sequence input from padding bit insertion section (101), and obtains an LDPC codeword composed of systematic bits and parity bits. Then a puncturing section (103) eliminates padding bits from the LDPC codeword input from LDPC encoding section (102), and also punctures parity bits in the LDPC codeword in order starting from a parity bit corresponding to a variable node forwhiehthe total number of connections to padding bits via check nodes is larger.

    • A wireless communication system enabling multihop communication while maintaining the system throughput and preventing degradation of the user throughput. In the system, a BS (base station) determines the relaying method (whether an RS performs reproduction relay or nonreproduction relay) of the RS (relaying station) and the MCS of multihop communication according to the reception quality (the line quality among an MS2, the RS, and the BS) of the pilot for nonreproduction relay, the reception quality (the line quality between the RS and the BS) of the pilot 2 for reproduction relay, and the line quality (the line quality between the MS2 and the RS) measured at the RS. The determination result is transmitted as relay information to the RS and to the MS2 (a mobile station (2)) through the RS. The MS2 encodes and modulates the uplink data with the MCS based on the relay information and transmits the data to the RS. The RS relays the uplink data while selecting nonreproduction relay or reproduction relay according to the relay information.

    • Method of scrambling signals, transmission point device and user equipment using the method are provided. The method is for scrambling signals assigned on predetermined radio resources of at least one layer of resource blocks with the same time and frequency resources, and comprises the steps of: sending an ID table to a user equipment through higher layer signaling, the ID table being a subset of the whole ID space and containing available IDs for the user equipment; notifying the user equipment an ID in the ID table to be used through physical layer signaling or UE specific higher layer signaling; generating a random seed based on the notified ID; initializing a scrambling sequence by the random seed; and scrambling the signals with the initialized scrambling sequence. The method of the disclosure, by combining physical layer signaling and higher layer signaling, may notify the used group ID and the blind detection space to a UE, the blind detection for the UE is enabled and the signaling overhead is reduced.
